Sussex Square Apartments

Out of all the apartment complexes I have loved in. Sussex Square is by far the worst. The buildings are not upkept properly. You may see a janitor clean the stairswells every once in a Blue moon (probably with dirty mop water. Is smells you can tell). There is always trash surrounding the dumpster area. We are promised a weekly routine pest control but no one ever shows up. The maintenance turnover rate is honestly ridiculous and they steal from you. So please beware and the management will do absolutely nothing about it but give you false hope that the situation will be handled to no avail. If your car gets vandalized it's on you. And once again nothing will be done about the situation. If management ever tells you (I will call you back or email you regarding a situation) don't look for

Oz did a great job fixing my toilet seat situation and replaced it in no time flat. My toilet seat looks and feels great. Oz was very polite, professional and highly diplomatic as he explained to me our buildings heating situation. Great customer service rendered today.

My experience with this apartment complex has been extremely disappointing. Since moving in, we have experienced multiple unresolved maintenance and safety issues. The air and heating system does not function properly and continues to leak, and there is visible mold growth in the HVAC closet. Despite reaching out to the rental office numerous times, no repairs or remediation have been completed. We also discovered a pile of staples embedded in the carpet after one of our children stepped on them. Upon speaking with staff, we received conflicting information indicating that our apartment was not ready for occupancy at the time of our move-in. It appears the property manager approved our “emergency move” without ensuring the unit was safe or properly maintained. We have three young childre

I’ve been a tenant here for several years, but I’m seriously considering not renewing my lease due to ongoing communication issues. I will say it’s a step in the right direction that the office now answers the phone more consistently — in the past, they rarely picked up or returned calls. However, communication through email is still very poor, so if you need anything, calling is your best bet. There’s a high turnover rate with the maintenance staff, which makes it hard to build consistency or trust in service. I’m also disappointed that in the four years I’ve lived here, I’ve never received preventative maintenance or routine pest control unless I specifically asked for it. If I could, I would rate this property a negative star. This is the worst place I have ever had to live. Since moving in, I have had a total of eight leaks. The plumbers are not fixing the problem; they are only providing quick fixes. When I first moved in, the apartment was infested with roaches. I had to purchase boric acid to get rid of them. I even had mice! The exterminator is ineffective, so I now have a cat. This is absurd. I would never recommend anyone moving here. Run! Calling corporate does not help because no one ever returns your call. Hopefully, this review will catch someone’s attention. Please do not rent from these apartments. It is the worst mistake I have ever made.
