Newell Heights Apartments

My daughter stayed in these apartments one week before requesting to be let out of her lease. Apartment was not cleaned, she received a stove that was filthy and had food on it, no water pressure in kitchen sink, and kitchen hose didn’t work. My daughter immediately didn’t feel safe living there with her child. AND upon moving out she discovered roaches. She didn’t know they were in there because she didn’t live in the apartment. The only thing that was good was the leasing agent, the location, and the price because I had to find another place in less than 60 days.

Partner and I applied making well over the required income with a credit score of over 700, offered three months rent + deposit upfront. Applications took 6 days longer than promised to get back to us only to be told we need a cosigner that makes over 60k a year. We also made it clear we were students desperate for housing. After being accepted to another apartment Newell Heights within minutes called asking us to sign a lease with them instead...Extremely embarrassing and unprofessional.

Terrible experience. The lady running this apartment complex seemed helpful at first, but gradually seemed to become more and more difficult. My girlfriend and I were interested in the apartment and were waiting for a virtual tour due to COVID. It was promised to take only one or two days, but ended up taking FOUR, and because of that, other applicants were able to apply and be approved prior to us. There was little to no communication while we were waiting for the videos of the virtual tour, even in spite of our attempts, and their excuse was that both Maria (property manager) and the lady responsible for taking the video, were out ill. Then we come to find out that when it finally became time for us to be able to move forward, there were other applicants now, who started the process late

I stayed here for a few weeks and it's G-H-E-T-T-O. They clearly do as few updates as possible however rent is low if you're trying to save money.

Daughter lives at this apartment complex. It seems well kept. Lawns were kept neat, complex seems quiet. Daughter said she likes living here with her significant other.
