We have 10 properties with General Home and are really pleased with their service. Our previous property manager would take time servicing tenants. If we had renovations they were always over budget and took longer than agreed. General Home has their own loyal trades who they've been working with for 20+ years. Quality is great, price is reasonable and delivery is on time. Finally, Michelle is a super star when it comes to tenant placement. The whole team is great. Prior to General Home - and we didn't know this - our property manager had such bad criteria selecting tenants. Michelle and the team have a proper list of things to check which has led to better on-time paying tenants. Investing in Detroit takes hard work and if you're not in Detroit like me, these guys are an extension of you.

This family-owned business provides thorough detailed property management. I have used their services from 8/13/21 and have appreciated the following: a. Timely monthly and continuous reporting via on online portal, b. Personalized advice on decor, tenant screening, handling of potential violations such as unauthorized animals, collection where necessary, c. 'Rolodex' of capable vendors, plus d. Economical pricing. General Homes provided more capability for their monthly fee than other firms. They are in office most Saturdays and answer the phone. They have an in-house attorney should you need this service. I have two properties with General Home Corporation Detroit Michigan. I am really glad I found them. I am also glad they have agreed to manage my properties. My previous property manager was a great person too. However, he would take more than three weeks to respond to tenant maintenance requests. Sometime the maintenance and repairs by the previous management company would be left incomplete and I was never informed. GHC property management proactively reminded me that: 1) my city property inspection was due 2) proactively contacted the city and setup inspection 3) followed up on inspection shortfalls 4) notified city that the address of homeowner had changed 5) proactively manages tenant security deposit 6) provides home owners a dashboard to keep track of rental income and maintenance

I had the unfortunate experience of renting a home managed by this company for a year. Showing and signing was fine, everything after that was horrid. Come move-in the home wasn't clean, had literal holes in the walls, multiple carpet stains, the carpet in the basement wasn't attached to the floor anymore and nails were exposed, the landscaping was completely overgrown and neglected, the gutters were full of junk and much much more. The home simply wasn't ready for move-in and it looks like they barely did anything at all to prepare it. I still moved in and it took them months to even do the most basic of repairs, and even then most of them were never completed, and those that were done were done so poorly I had to re-do it myself to simply have a sink that didn't leak, a shower door that

Tony, Michelle and the rest of the General Home team were instrumental in stabilizing our Detroit properties and getting them consistently cashflowing. Their tenant screening process resulted in having reliable and trustworthy tenants. They were also very honest and upfront about maintenance costs, repairs and what was worth holding off on and what was urgent to be fixed. We loved working with the General Home team.
