Just moved here... Renting a room in an existing tenant's 2 bedroom unit. The process was pretty seamless. I'll try to remember to update my review once I've had time to decompress & get the lay of the land.

Highly overpriced for what you get sadly. Going into our second summer here (but will be leaving ASAP) and they refuse to turn on the air every year (I have family who lived here years ago and it’s always been a huge issue, I assume it benefits them financially somehow) though you pay for your own anyways. Our unit is typically anywhere from 70-95 degrees from late April until they decide to turn it on, and of course there’s days where that number is a lot higher. Asking about it will get you dismissive answers, like being told it’ll turn on “from the beginning to the end of May”. The people who work here treat tenants like trash, they’ve had three new managers since December 2023, there’s no security whatsoever, and the pictures online aren’t at all accurate to what you really get (our ha

I’m a current resident and recently encountered a troubling issue with a missing package. On November 8, a valuable package was marked as delivered, but despite checking the lobby daily, I haven’t been able to locate it. I was disappointed to learn that, despite clear signs indicating security cameras in the lobby, there actually are none—raising serious concerns about resident safety. When I brought this to the attention of the new management lady, I was hoping for a proactive response. Unfortunately, rather than addressing the seriousness of the situation, she seemed to downplay the issue. Her responses felt dismissive and unhelpful, offering no concrete solutions or suggestions for security improvements to prevent future losses. Being a resident of Devonshire for almost four years, I can say that it is now the best complex to live in all Holyoke . Our new leasing manager Tanya , who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to our community. Since taking over the helm, it seems that her first order of business was to take care of the air conditioning issue,which has significantly enhanced our living experience. Their response times are impressively prompt, and they consistently follow through on their commitments. The introduction of new key fobs will enhance our security and convenience. Moreover, their interaction with tenants is exemplary, showcasing empathy, understanding, and a genuine interest in our well-being. Apartments could be nice, but chaotic management and pests When we moved in, management had agreed to multiple updates including renovated kitchen and new, wood-style flooring. Two weeks into our lease we still did not have kitchen counter tops and had to have the carpet removed. While living there, the apartment was infested with german cockroaches, which required numerous sprayings. In total we couldn't be in our apartment for 7 days due to sprayings. When we moved out the owners, Devonshire Owner LLC, were slow to refund security deposit. MA state law allows 30 days. It took 46 to receive a valid check.
