After living at Crest Ridge Apartments, I feel like people should know what they’re walking into. The biggest issue for me has been the air conditioning. During the summer, the AC barely works. My apartment was constantly warm - especially at night and it was incredibly uncomfortable. When you’re paying the kind of rent they charge, you expect to at least be able to cool your apartment properly. Another major issue is winter maintenance. After storms, the sidewalks are often not cleared in a timely manner. There were times I had to carefully walk over ice and snow just to get to my car. It feels unsafe and honestly shows a lack of care for residents. From the outside, the complex looks nice and the grounds can seem appealing at first. This was the most bizarre place I’ve ever experienced. Their “dynamic pricing” seems predatory as the price you see is not the price you’d pay unless you moved in that day. And with the slow moving office (I have been going back and forth for MONTHS), you can be sure the process will not be quick. Most landlords require 1-2 months notice of a move, but if you sign a lease here they do NOT honor today’s pricing. They will increase your rental price every day until you move in. It can be a difference of HUNDREDS of dollars a month. A unit I wanted was listed at $2300 in August - but the quote with my move in date of 2 months later was $2600. So i let a month pass - the unit was still available in September and now with my move in date of 1 month later it was $2500. Pricey for an old unit b

Beautiful location. Large apartments. That’s about all the “Pros.” Unfortunately many “Cons.” I moved in 5 years ago. Since then the complex was sold and the new owners just care about the “bottom line.” Maintenance workers are over scheduled and only respond to issues that will cause damage to your or neighbor’s apartment. Then problems are addressed quickly. Anything else takes inordinate amount of time. . My central air conditioning unit (they are very old) stopped working last May. The temperature in my apartment in June went up to 82. Nobody ever came. When I said I was having it fixed on my own and would deduct it from my rent maintenance finally showed up. Said it needed Freon. Came back 5 days later. Didn’t help. Contacted property manager again. Temperature in my apartment was up

I do not recommend this apartment, there are a lot of much nicer options around here. Pros: - Relatively nice and scenic location - Rather good commute: bus station right next to the apartments; 7 mins of driving from NJT. Cons: - Lawn maintenance. Probably the most annoying feature of this apartment. They are obsessed with their lawns and gardening trucks come every day, start work at 8am and buzz with their machines until evening. If you take a day off to rest and sleep, you can forget about it. You'll end up waiting until summer ends an it finally snows and then when it does, you'll stare in amazement and disbelief how they still come and ride their lawn mowing machines all day on top of snow-cowered lawn without any hints of grass. - Parking. Lots of parking lots, some labeled with
