Centennial Park Apartments

Although the on site manager is absolutely amazing, the owner of the apartment could not care less about his tenats. Constantly putting them in unlivable conditions. Hours upon hours of construction and water constantly being shut off sometimes up to 8½ hours. Also shows up and cuts his tenats off in the parking lot cause he thinks hes better than the average person. Rent is good but not good enough to be treated like an inmate in your own home. Absolutely disgusting the level of care he has.

Management kept changing over and over again because the company is too cheap to pay them a livable wage. If it wasn't for that, they could have easily filled our spot quickly after we moved and we would have gotten a refund (I often heard that they always had a waiting list). They are also slowly increasing rent and not making improvements, not to mention that they took away a lot of our deposit when we moved for things we were specifically told we wouldn't be charged for. The two best things were affordability and the easy access to the bike trails behind Alton Baker.

You get what you pay for. They're not bad, they're not great. Management is constantly changing, which sucks. Prices seem to increase every 6 months, which also sucks. Lots of homeless people like to get into the dumpsters. We've lived here for about 5 years, and our cars have been burglarized 4 times. Tons of stray cats live here, and I've never seen anything done about it. The property itself is alright. It's mostly clean, but nothing really ever gets 'freshened-up'. We've never really had bad neighbors, and despite lots of college kids in the area, it's pretty quiet. Location is a blessing or a curse. Great park nearby, and it's easy to get where you want to go. Traffic can get ridiculous on game days at Autzen, but you can mostly get where you need to go.

I have lived in these apartments since June of 2010. I like them, the management is very pleasant. The Master Bedroom is huge. The only down side is that there is no patio. Overall they are great apartments. Update: November 2013: After my last review everything went down hill and I have moved out. This place cannot keep a good manager and refused to fix a light fixture that was water damage from a flood from my upstairs neighbors and was flickering (Can we say Fire Hazard???). The grounds have lost all appeal, the trim hedges too short so they could spy on their tenats and completely removed several that were never replaced. In the 5 years that I lived there, they did not replace the barkamulch or paint. In conclusion, its not a bad place, but needs lots of improvement.

There is a new manager at least once a year. The light bulb on our landing went out and it took them over 7 months to replace. The playground has been broken since June and is still not fixed 6 months later. There used to be a lot of nice plants and trees and they all got hacked down about a year ago. The only good thing about this place used to be the price, which goes up about once a year and is now pretty comparable to a nicer place in a better part of town.
