Campus Communities - College Town Apartments

This has been the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. I’ve lived here for two years and this is just a glimpse of the issues I’ve had. First Year Issues: * Most appliances broke (dishwasher, washer/dryer, thermostat). I went without a washer/dryer for over two weeks—twice. If it weren’t for Amanda (a former employee who kindly let me do laundry at her own place), I would’ve been completely stuck. * Roommate situations kept getting switched at the very last minute. * Found a dead mouse in the vents that caused a horrible smell, on top of a constant mice problem throughout the year. * When I moved in, my unit was not even ready. I couldn’t stay in my own room for the first week because they had to replace the carpet. * They did not enforce handicap parking. After my ACL surgery in Novemb

So far I haven't even moved in fully and I'm already regretting it. The apartment that I moved into wasn't remodeled so it looks a lot different then the demo room. I am actually disgusted in the living conditions of this place. There is tons of water damange, the cuboards are falling apart, the stove is rusting, the linoeum is peeling a breaking at the edges, my bedroom and bathroom weren't cleaned (there was literally mold in the toilet and shower), one of the the fire alarms isn't there so there are just wires hanging from the ceiling, my bathroom light fixture and much more. I had them paint parts of my room and now their are just splotches of paint that are a totally differen't color than the rest of the room. DO NOT RENT!!! TOTAL SCAM!!! - over priced (i ended up paying over 800$ a month) - roommates were all nearly 20 years older than me and didn't help AT ALL with electricity payments - balcony was next to the dog park which smelled like poop at all times because no one ever cleaned it - lied to about how the lease works by the tour guide and bean bag they call a manager - Woke up to maintenance people in my apartment at 8:30 in the morning who were not let in - no one is around on weekends or general nights if you have problems - was sworn at by the manager - nearly 200$ in extra fees I was never told about. Edit: found out two of my roomates are convicted felons now apparently

Maintenance was very helpful and quick to respond. Fix our hot water fast. The maintenance supervisor was friendly and very informative through the whole process. Thank you

I was having a lot of issues with my roommate and heather and the team made sure to help me get a new unit so I can be comfortable in my own space again. Thank you very much to the college town team!!
