Aspen Court

Unsafe. Attempted burglary at 2 am. Property manager unsympathetic & nervous. No cameras allowed on property (but they do have on on their equipment building) They also tow cars on holidays on purpose when there is not enough parking to begin with. There is excrement & vomit dried on hallways and walkways. How this is on the list of university approved housing is beyond me. Terrible management & terrible experience.

I lived at this apartment for two years and was nothing short of a model tenant. I always paid rent on time, followed every rule, kept noise to a minimum, and even paid for parking passes without complaint. I went above and beyond—spending hours deep-cleaning areas like the oven, which clearly hadn’t been touched in years before I arrived. Despite all of this, my experience was completely soured by how I was treated at the end of my lease. Due to relocating for school, I couldn’t be present for the move-out inspection and sent a trusted friend in my place. The management claimed multiple areas were “dirty,” which I know is false. I spent an entire week thoroughly cleaning the apartment before I left. The result? I received only a third of my deposit back. No real explanation—just an unfa

2 years here and it was the perfect first apartment! Brian and the crew were absolutely amazing and so helpful during the entire lease, they’ve set the bar for property management! Maintenance was efficient and respectful of your apartment every time they entered. Location is perfect, not on campus but just close enough you can walk! I will always recommend these apartments for anyone in the Carbondale area!

I lived at Aspen for 8 years and it was a great place to live. Management was great and quick to solve any issues that may arise. Well kept area and close to stores and SIU. It's a great place to stay especially if you are a college student but also welcoming to small families.

I lived here for two years (August 2021 - July 2023). The apartments are nice, spacious, and well equipped. Other complexes may be closer, but Aspen Court is still within walking and biking distance to campus. The pool, cardio room, and basketball court are nice amenities too. Staff are very friendly and any maintenance issues I had were quickly resolved. I highly recommend Aspen Court for students looking to live off campus.
