I am giving a 4 star because I think the landlord deserves a higher average, not to say all is perfect. Most importantly, I believe rent is fair for square footage and features. The lobby and shared spaces need some work, and everything is communicated by phone or over paper whereas I would prefer more digital options. I have had a very positive experience living in the apartment as it’s well maintained, and when we need something fixed or I complain about an issue with excess garbage, it’s dealt with quickly. I haven’t gone through a move out as I’m a satisfied tenant, so I could have a different perspective following that process.

Christmas 2023 @ Lambeth Road, 4 unit complex. My wife and I have been living here for over ten years.. As the old saying goes, “the pasture is not always greener on the other side.” With that being said, Paul O’Connor is very detailed oriented and has very common sense rules…. Since moving in, we have taken pride as if we own the property…. We take pride on the interior as well as the outside of the property…. Paul allows us to plant flowers in the spring/summer and display Christmas lights/ornaments in the fall/winter.. The price of the property is very reasonable, if my wife and I didn’t like it here we would have moved.. Paul has had many repeat tenants, who have moved back here while we have been living here…. DO NOT RENT FROM PAUL. Paul, you stated in a letter to me to please write some words so here you go. My daughter and her infant lived in one of his rentals....things that were broken were fixed but not correctly. The tub leaked hot water from day one, was "fixed" 3 times, still leaking when moved out. The ceiling in the bathroom was rotting due to a leak that was also "fixed" and eventually had pieces falling onto the floor. It was black mold...he was advised of this, it was painted over. This was our last straw. When mold covered ceiling is falling onto tooth brushes, toilet, etc. and he does nothing....he wants his money and that is it. Kitchen sink leaked under cabinet, tried saying my daughter knocked the pipes loose. He requires a million dollar rental insurance policy from each adult

How are these people especially Paul still allowed to rent to people is my question. My mom and step dad are looking for a place to rent for a year and saw a ad for a nice 2 bedroom in Waukesha so they went and checked it out. The rental agreement clearly stated how much the security deposit would be and how much the credit checks were. It was supposed to be $25 each for a credit check but he asked for $75 each for a credit check. Then he asked for double the amount for security deposit and added a bunch of fees. Thank goodness my parents are smart and said no way. This dude is a con-man and has serious issues. Should not be allowed to rent to people. The state of Wisconsin needs to look into this guy more and ban him from renting.

Paul was great to rent from. If you respect him and his property, he will respect you and reward you for it. I got my full deposit back because I treated my unit as if it were my own. I would happily rent from him again.
