West Grove on the Lake

Went for a tour. Wasn't impressed. Buildings are dated and older. You have a maze of doorways and hallways to walk through to find your apartment, can only imagine how fun moving in would be trying to get furniture around all the corners and through all the doors and staircases. Then the different horrible smells in each hallway, you bear through one stinky hallway then through a door and into the next mystery awful smelling hallway and a few more till you reach your apartment. Good luck with the maze if there were ever a fire in a building. On top of rent they want you to pay a 1 time fee of $25 per vehicle sticker to park where you live.... 🤣 shouldn't parking where you live be included? No thanks to that mess.

Current resident living here - the office staff seems genuine and tries to help, but there is simply too many problems to keep up with. Maintenance requests take too long to fix. Our garbage disposal broke, was “repaired” but someone who didn’t know what they were doing so then our sink started leaking and ruined all our cleaning supplies underneath the sink. Then a different maintenance man came back to fix it correctly (he was very nice and helpful). Don’t ever expect to find parking in the lots as they are full by 5pm leaving residents to have to pay for street parking. Parking a couple feet into the grass in the lot resulted in having my car towed and having to pay $350 to get it back. Experience was great maintenance came and replaced. Replaced my patio door and it is perfect. Can finally enjoy the view outside when the sun comes up

Update: 7 months and STILL NO WINDOW SCREEN!!! I’ve sent in multiple maintenance requests for other things that never get answered, not to the maintenance guys fault but because of extremely poor management. My bathroom is literally still missing trim, and has very old gross tile that doesn’t match the entire apartment. Said it before and I’ll say it again, do NOT move here. Update: it’s been 3 months and still no window screen, no response to maintenance requests and my sliding door has zero weather stripping and is leaking cold air in significantly, emails aren’t answered, new package room is causing our packages to go to the wrong places and then end up getting taken. Never in my entire adult life have I experienced a place this bad. From the management being rude, unhelpful, and unwilling to work with you to all of the countless maintenance issues we have had that continue to not be permanently fixed. We had a carbon monoxide leak and a faulty detector that almost cost us our lives two months after moving in, that was addressed, fine. Now for the last 4 ish months, every time it rains hard we get standing water in our furnace closet that leaks through the wall and into the living room leaving a huge mess. The first two times we were told by maintenance there’s “nothing they can do because that’s just how the new furnace was installed” (which is the area the water is pouring in).
