The Rail at 1380 Apartments

I wrote once before but now I am moving out. For the majority of my stay the leasing office was(and still is) under construction with no compensation for not being able to use the facility. I always had trouble contacting the main office and often emails and messages through their application were left unanswered. With high turn over, there was never consistent communication and several office people were quite rude during the early move out process. My first year was decent. Maintenance was always quick to respond to issues and every person was kind and respectful of our space. Chris was excellent in helping make sure my place was in the best shape it could be for move out. The location is convenient and relatively affordable. BE CAREFUL OF THIS PLACE. I've lived here for almost two years and once they know you aren't renewing your lease, they dont care about you. We had two broken toilets that did not get fixed for over a month (and didn't get fixed by the time we moved out). We were told, "that's not going to happen" when asking if we were getting a new toilet. Also I was told for the last month's rent payment that we had 90 days to pay it (I have the emails) and that the security deposit would be taken out of the amount. WELL I was just hit with a $75 late fee they won't remove and it hasn't even been two weeks. Everything was fine until they knew we weren't renewing our lease. It was a rude awakening that they really only care about you when they're wanting you to re-sign

My first and last experience with apartment living. I have been living here more than 3 years before deciding to end my lease. Property management before moving in here was great, until Birge&Held took over. Major concern is the safety of this location and upkeep. Over the past year we’ve had packages stolen, no functioning lock on the building door, vehicles hit by other tenants twice, bike parts stolen, maintenance coming in unannounced, maintenance with felony charges committed in our same building aloud to keep employment. There are so many police in this complex daily that they do patrol several times a day through our complex. Any issues reported are not handled by the apartments as they are never in office. The only redeeming factor was Chris, the maintenance man, was always helpfu

Came for a tour. The townhouse we viewed was beautiful. Our host was very knowledgeable and professional. This is definitely in our top 3!

We have lived here for about a month and so far we have been so impressed with the staff and this little community. The lead maintenance man is super nice and personable and goes above and beyond. The office staff has been super communicable with us when we have had issues, and have even worked with us to come up with solutions (saving a beloved patio tree). Overall, it definitely has more of a community vibe rather than just an apartment complex. We also love being so close to everything! You can bike or walk anywhere. It also feels very family friendly.
