The Edge Apartments

I’ve been living here for three years now and honestly it’s been amazing. The apartments are clean, and fully furnished with everything you could need. But what really makes the difference is the staff. Megan and Tay greet me with a big smile every morning and always make sure I’ve got everything I need. With all the stress that comes from school, it’s such a relief to live in a place that feels so positive and welcoming.

Take pictures of the place before you move in. Dead bugs, scratched stove, discolored fridge, grime around buttons on the microwave, under sink, baseboards, base of toilet -EVERYTHING. We moved my daughter in with two existing roommates who had been there for two years and the place was disgusting. We cleaned like crazy when she moved in and when out but our security deposit was not refunded. They took pictures of every scuff and one picture was of soap residue in the kitchen sink that wasn’t cleaned-I had sprayed cleaner in it after cleaning to make it antimicrobial. One photo was of a stick-on-nail found on the carpet in a bedroom. Hardly “wear and tear.” We did not take photos of the prior roommates mess and dings at move in. My daughter currently lives at the Edge. We encountered an issue with her apartment upon move in this past July. Unfortunately there was an unknown if my daughter and her roommates would be able to move in by the start of school. Lauren, the manager, did everything she had to do to make sure the apartment was ready in time for the girls to move in for the start of classes. Needless to say, this was a very stressful time worrying about where they would live in the interim. The Edge made sure there was accommodation in event that the apartment was not ready in time. Fortunately, this was not the case due to Lauren’s dedication. Thank you, Lauren!

This is my second year living here and I love it so much! Super clean, great area, super great employees. It’s right near campus so it’s a super great walk to classes. Definitely the best location in Blacksburg.

I wanted to update my previous review. This morning, maintenance finally came to fix the issues I had reported, including the closet light and toilet. A huge thank you to Cameron, who was very polite, efficient, and respectful throughout the whole process. I truly appreciate his professionalism and attitude. It did take over a week and multiple follow-ups to get a response, which was frustrating. But I’m glad the team eventually handled it well. I hope future maintenance requests can be addressed more promptly.
