Teal River Apartments (Previously Somerset Village Apartments)

I had an appointment for today @1pm. I was at the apartment at 12:55 and couldn’t find the leasing office, I call these people multiple time and got no answers so I went around asking a couple of the residents. I was told that the leasing office was moved to another location that’s not close to the apartment. I called the apartments again (3 different numbers) and still got no response. It’s very unprofessional to set up an appointment and be given the wrong information. What a waste a time. I am glad I visited the place anyway because it is definitely somewhere I would want to live. It looked unkempt and there were literally trash and broken furnitures on people balconies. It was a blessing in disguise.

I will not take down my review like I was asked to before. This is just ridiculous. This has been an ongoing maintenance issue since August 1st of 2025. This is my bathroom October 15th 2025. The amount of maintenance we had in and out they still can’t fix this issue. I will not remove this review even If ends up getting fixed. If you can find a better apartment, go for it.

Dora is heaven sent, there's times I was going to be late with a payment and she understood and came up with a game plan. Some other apartments don't give you a chance to breath. But Dora can really help you if your trying to help yourself and communication is the key with her. I lived here in 2019 it's a decent place and it's very affordable. I had problems with some roaches and water bugs at times but anywhere you go there will be something you will have to deal with. The neighbors are fairly nice although I had a neighbor down below me who made noise for no reason, but every one stays to themselves. There's a laundry mat a minute up the road but there also a wash and dryer in each lower level of the apartment buildings. It has a huge patio and a really big kitchen, I enjoyed my stay. I

The only redeeming factor about this place is Dora, the landlady. She is an absolute gem of a woman and just an overall pleasure to know. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the people who own the property, they really don't deserve someone like her. They want to make as much as they can while spending as little as possible on upkeep, leaving you constantly needing things fixed. If you can afford to live somewhere better, I would, but if you need a cheap place this is probably the best you'll find. It's hard to leave a complaint since I know Dora does the best she can, but these apartments have a lot of flaws and I get tired of having to constantly ask for them to be addressed so I just tolerate them the best I can. I read some of these reviews and laugh. I've lived here for 2 years and anytime I have an issue, the manager Dora always responds and my issue gets fixed. The manager also sprays for bugs often because I READ the letters she puts on ALL the doors to let everyone know what is going on. There are some a$$hole tenants here, I've been in the office where people come in yelling and screaming at the manager FOR SOMETHING THEY DID TO THEIR PLACE! And if you see something bad, say something to the manager. She works on evicting anyone who poses a threat to the community she has worked hard to clean up. I knew what this place was before and she has done a lot of work to this place. So the people here posting "boo hoo's" were probably the tenants that never tried to reach out to the manager to fix a
