DO NOT RENT HERE — SERIOUS SAFETY, HEALTH, AND MANAGEMENT ISSUES This apartment complex has been an absolute nightmare. This was my first apartment, and it has completely ruined what should have been an exciting experience. I am relieved to be leaving and would never recommend this place to anyone. Safety is a major concern. There are frequent gunshots day and night, constant noise from aggressively revving modded cars—despite this being a school zone—and an overall environment that feels unsafe. People are constantly sleeping in communal areas, including hallways, laundry rooms, washer/dryer areas, and storage spaces. These are shared spaces meant for residents, yet they are routinely occupied, making them uncomfortable and unsafe to use. Management was notified multiple times and did l

My girlfriend and I lived here for about 2 years because it was a good middle distance commute for her work and mine. In exchange for the better priced rent/location if you work in the Renton area. You’re sacrificing A LOT. There are no elevators on site, your “on site” laundry room is a coat closet that smells worse than the clothes you put in. Parking spaces are tight and even if you have a space assignment/rented for. There’s a good chance someone has taken it and if they did you’re parking on the street because Sunset does not release authorization for tenants to call tows for vehicles in your spot. Affordable, and definitely okay if you’re willing to deal with the safety issues and health risks. Within 72 hours of moving in to my 1 bd 1 bath apartment, the kitchen sink overflowed with sewage. It seeps out from under the tiles as well, as they’re not properly sealed. This happened because the washer flooded the entire area around the laundry room including the electrical room. This happened 5 more times before eventually the washer was fixed properly. I had to have copious amounts of black mold removed from my ceiling TWICE, and the damages done to the unit by the maintenance team (they slammed a door into a wall, causing a hole and repainted the ceiling all wrong and got a waterproofing agent all over the floors, breaking a lightbulb attached to the extractor fan and leaving the g

2/2020 The property manager changes every few months. Maintenance barely does anything. I had to deal with a broken dishwasher TWICE for a combined 7months. The most recent maintenance guy gave me a 'used' dishwasher... That smells of smoke and was dirty. Oddly enough, the maintenance guy is the only one who can't smell the cigarette smoke from it. I also had a leak looked at... And came home to a mess in my apartment. Maintenance didn't bother or I dare say they to clean up. Edit on 10/6/2020 Dishwasher broke again, and I called the maintenance number.... Then emailed ... Have not heard anything back and it's been 4 week. good apartments for an affordable price and the newly remodeled apartments look great! The property manager stefany guided me the whole way and really made it easy for me to understand pricing and availability. It’s been so hard to apartment hunt because everywhere else Right now it seems like it’s a your on your Own apply online type of stuff but here it was different. I very well recommend this place if your looking for a new apartment!
