We applied for an apartment and were accepted then told we'd have to relocate because the previous resident damaged the apartment beyond use. Our replacement apartment had a strong mold or mildewy smell that caused us breathing issues. Our apartment seemed like they forgot to do repairs after inspecting it after the previous resident moved out. There was mold in the freezer. There were a bunch of dead lights and the smoke and CO detectors didn't work. We could have easily fixed that but the lease said they'd provide us with all of that. They told us they wouldn't be able to get it ready for us quickly and they didn't have any other available apartments so they offered to cancel our application instead of forcing us to break the lease and pay the associated costs. After we recently moved here, I have to say that Ian and the maintenance team did an amazing job with the final adjustments to the apartment. It was painted, and all the small things were replaced for me—like the mirror and a new light fixture in the bathroom—which made the experience perfect. Very happy that we came here.

The office staff are generally polite and friendly. Inside the apartment, there is a persistent smell of old wooden furniture. The odor comes from the kitchen cabinets, doors, and other wooden elements. (No, this is not that cozy wooden smell. It’s really annoying) It cannot really be removed because this is simply how old furniture smells. The only possible solution is to use plug-in air fresheners or diffusers to mask the smell. Another issue is the very thin, almost cardboard-like walls. Everything is clearly audible: a neighbor’s phone ringing and vibrating, footsteps from upstairs, and even the ceiling creaks when someone walks above. I moved out after almost 6 years there. I wish I could say something good about it since I really did love it when I first moved in, but the last year there was so traumatizing that I couldn't even write a review until half a year later. They change landlords almost every year so there's no real documentation on your past issues or follow up to fix issues, to the point one landlord even lost my lease document and looked at me like it was my fault lol.
