Stewart Title Company - Renton

I used Stewart title to close on my home recently. Heather Davidson and Heidi Lloyd mishandled the utility bill transfer costing me about $300. They forwarded on the sellers bills after a prior sale fell through. This is a sloppy company that won't take responsibility. I can not recommend them.

We recently used Stewart Title for a residential refinance and unfortunately we cannot recommend them or use their services again. From the start to finish they made errors that resulted not only taking up our limited personal time to help correct, they also reversed a credit card payoff without our knowledge or consent. This resulted in a late payment, returned check fee and cost us around $1000 extra due to their error. We had no idea they did this. When we contacted them they had zero accountability for what they had done and cited we signed an agreement saying they are not held liable for acts like this. The entire process with them was very unpleasant,

Heidi Lloyd deliberately delayed the Closing of my home sale, presenting multiple subterfuse techniques by requiring me to resubmit documentation for already accepted and approved documents. Additionally, she violated the Fair Housing Act by repeatedly requesting verification of my Living Status (alone vs co-habitation).

Working with Team Phoenix at Stewart Title and Escrow has been an absolute pleasure. Their communication is always clear and timely, making every transaction smooth and efficient. They are dedicated to getting the job done no matter what it takes, and their fun, energetic personalities make them a joy to collaborate with. I always know I’m in great hands when working with this team, and I highly recommend them for all your title and escrow needs!

After working with another title company for months with little to show for it, but frustration. I told my mortgage company I wanted someone else, and mentioned I had worked with Stewart Title Company before. What a difference we closed within the month.
