Southwind Village

I moved into Southwind in June 2024 and even had issues before I got my keys. The paperwork was not handled properly, and management tried to delay my move-in by a week even though I had no other place to stay. From the start, I documented problems in my unit, including scratches on doors, an unpainted wall, cobwebs, and a dryer that hadn’t been cleaned. The dryer later caught fire due to lint buildup. It took two months for the unit to be removed, and when it finally was, damage was caused in my apartment. I also dealt with a shower leak that led to mold and was only fixed after I insisted on being present to confirm the repair. Another ongoing concern has been lock changes. My locks were drilled out and replaced multiple times without proper communication, and management struggled to k

a few years ago i could’ve given this complex a three star review because the apartments aren’t terribly small and prices aren’t awful, but the crime has gone up so exponentially that it’s really really not safe to live here anymore especially as a woman and as you can see from other reviews, there are safety hazards everywhere. and by crime, i mean, cars were constantly broke into, MOST of the packages i ordered got stolen if i didn’t grab them within a couple hours, robberies, and probably a lot more crime i never even heard about. there were major mold issues in both apartments i lived in during my time here that were never fixed even when i put in requests. the most they would do is spray it down but it never went away. in both places i stayed at during my time here (building 5 and

Update 6/23: Management has removed our flyers over 30 times causing tenants in the association to have to rehang everyday, despite it being illegal or even the Attorney General telling them to stop. We have a court case started and the fire dept have them final notice to fix some things and if not completed by Friday they are also pursuing legal action. As the tenant association organizer for Southwind Apartments, I feel it's necessary to speak candidly about the ongoing issues residents face. The property has been plagued by basic safety and maintenance failures for far too long. Update 7/31/2023, I see they paid residents to put 5 start reviews the same time I packed up and left and took an eviction then live here, Justin and the managers there are SNAKES IN THE GRASS with their pathetic attempt to save this place paying people to put fake 5 star reviews. Like i said, they are taking bad people in and running this place into the ground and chasing out all the good tenants for bad ones. I can guarantee there’s been multiple trash bags thrown in the road since I left back in march.
