Ridgewood Village Apartments

My daughter and I toured Ridgewood Village today, and I have to say it was one of the best apartment tours we’ve ever experienced. We’ve visited several communities as my daughter is a VT student, but Imari, the leasing consultant, truly stood out. From the moment we walked in, she was welcoming, bubbly, and professional. Even while handling phone calls, her customer service was exceptional. During the tour, she was incredibly informative answering all of our questions and even anticipating ones we hadn’t thought to ask yet. I moved in last October. The apartment I moved into was so clean and everything looked great. Josh the manager has helped out a lot. I would call and he would know what to do. I can tell that he actually cares. This is the apartment I have dreamed of. Very peaceful, and beautiful place to live in.

We had a heating issue that was fixed within an hour of calling maintenance. These guys were knowledgeable and quick to resolve our complaint. Grateful, as we are entering the middle of winter here!

I strongly urge anyone considering this apartment complex to think twice. We’ve been dealing with a bathroom leak for months. A technician came over and confirmed that repairs were needed. I was told the work would begin in just a few days — that was over three months ago, and nothing has been done since. The leasing office is frequently closed, they don’t respond to follow-ups, and the mold problem has only gotten worse. I’m seriously concerned for our health, and also for the fact that water continues to leak — meaning we’re literally paying for wasted water. This is not just poor management — it’s neglect. If this continues, I will be escalating the issue through the Town of Blacksburg. Renters deserve transparency, safety, and basic respect.

Living here has been wonderful, the place is nice and in a great location. Imari at the office has been absolutely amazing, she went above and beyond for me when I had some things fall through. Super nice, hard working and compassionate. Whatever she is getting paid is probably not enough! She is an amazing employee and I am so grateful for her help. :)
