Portera at the Grove

I lived at Portera for three and a half years. The apartment units are beautiful, with exquisite detailing. The office and maintenance staffs are always friendly and helpful. There are two things to keep in mind, though. First, the sound insulation between floors is weak, and you may hear what is happening in the unit above you unless you are on the top floor of the building. And second, the annual rent increases are very aggressive. You will likely be disappointed if you value stability in future rent payments.

We lived at Portera in 2017, lived here for a year and had to take care of a family member in Salem. We moved back here a few weeks ago, 2020. We loved it here so much that we did not consider anywhere else to go when we were free to move from Salem. I feel very safe here when my husband travels. The place is very up to date and they have a beautiful garden roof over the parking spaces. There is a theater, a hobby room to play games, do puzzles, and just relax and chat with a friend. They have a library, free coffee in the mornings and constant deserts served.

We moved four times between 11/2017 and 2/2019 before we found our "place." Here at Portera, we have a large apartment, a garage for our car and in-building storage. The management is responsive to reasonable requests and goes above and beyond to make our living here a pleasant, quiet, private and safe experience. Portera at the Grove is located in the middle of an active community of services and recreation, with easy freeway access. I would recommend Portera at the Grove to my friends and family.

The entire concept of 55 and better is unlike anything else I've experienced or found. This continues to be a gorgeous, well planned community with amenities that continue to exceed my expectations. One of the best parts of Portera is the impeccable staff. They are warm, gracious, kind, accommodating and go above and beyond to make Portera one of the best communities we have lived in to date.

Don't get scammed by these people!! They prey on the elderly. Management if horrible, unresponsive, and will lie to your face! If you ever try and move out they will overcharge you and send you a final bill only after sending you to collections. My grandparents tried calling these people everyday for 2 months for their final bill only to FINALLY have their call returned by the manager who had lie after lie about why they hadn't gotten it. Their are many better places to live, don't settle for these scammers.
