Penn Southern

I want to say a major thank you to Rayne. I appreciate Rayne efforts, care, and attention. This was a unique situation where my family needed a new apartment with quick turnaround. Rayne and Penn Southern Team have been nothing but accommodating, flexible, and resilient. Despite the last-minute changes, her and the team have been awesome during this process. From the first time I spoke to her, she was nothing but a helpful, resourceful, and provided a great customer service with a great sprit. I highly recommend Penn Southern!

I have been a tenant at Penn Southern since 2015. I moved from one apartment to another in 2019 from a 1 bedroom to a studio for financial reasons. Most of my stay here has been unsatisfactory. I only stay because I cannot afford to move. The reason that most of my stay has been unsatisfactory is due to poor maintenance. The problems I have had are too numerous to state here. I have paid my rent on time 95 per cent of the time, except during the pandemic when my work hours were reduced. During that time, I was in constant communication with the Leasing Office to notify them when rent would be delayed but my rent was always paid. Managers, office personnel, and maintenance workers, have come and gone, but I remain simply because I cannot afford to move.

Ever since the new property management Miss Hill and Miss Maria, they are not consistent with helping the residence. When you call to make a complaint, they are nice, but they don’t complete work orders and no one ever follows up. They will come down and assess your apartment and assess what you’re complaining about but they do not move forward with fixing anything. It seems as though their budget is focused on something else such as fixing the outside of the property which I have seen often. This property management puts more work into the outside of the property then they do putting work on the inside of the apartments. It wasn’t all bad when I lived here. I lived here for three years and just now up to this year I have had the most craziest issues with roaches from a previous tenant. Then I request a transfer the new property manager. Maria told me that she was informed not to move me into the basement apartment by the laundry room, but she said she worked hard to get this apartment ready because of pest issues and pest control treated she voiced all of this to me because I kept reporting issues of this new home and she said I knew I shouldn’t have moved you in this home, but you kept complaining about your previous home so you move me into a home that has water issues, knowing that I complain about pest issues to move into another home that has even worse issues. This was my first apartment and our leasing representative Paul made this experience very easy , he was so kind and respectful with us . I’m very thankful for his patience with the process.He took very good care of us and the made the process seamless.
