3-Year Resident Review of Monroe Gates I lived at Monroe Gates from 2022 to 2025, and overall, my experience was decent. One of the biggest positives has been the maintenance team — they’ve consistently been quick, reliable, and thorough in completing work orders. Their responsiveness made day-to-day living much easier and is easily one of the highlights of this community. The management side, however, has been less consistent. During my time here, there were three different management teams. My move-in experience with the first team was very difficult — “rude” would honestly be an understatement. Fortunately, things improved once Samantha took over, and later with Natosha, who has also been better to work with. That said, the staff often appear overwhelmed, which at times affects servic
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! This is the second time the clubhouse has been locked (which is supposed to be 24/7) and I wasn’t able to get my packages which contained important medications. That is the biggest inconvenience ever. I pay each month for an extra decal because I have an extra car and it was towed and they act like they couldn’t do anything when she literally told me my car info is in their systems. People are always leaving their trash in the hallways which is only supposed to be out during certain time. The halls smell horrible! The traffic just to come and go home SUCKSSS!!! Paper thin walls, if I can hear my neighbors I know they can hear me. So i feel like I don’t really have any privacy. High rent and it’s not worth it AT ALLL. please look elsewhere before renting here Ohh and R
I’ve never felt compelled to write a review before, but my experience at this complex was disappointing enough that I felt I had no choice but to warn others. Being new to the military and this being me and my husband’s first apartment outside of our home state, we were looking for something in our price range and up to our expectations regarding safety and comfort. Unfortunately, this complex failed on every level. The most disturbing experience was when my husband was robbed inside the gates of the property, right where residents are supposed to feel safe. We reported the incident immediately, and the response from management was shockingly dismissive. They claimed the security cameras weren’t good enough to identify the person who robbed him, and that there was nothing they could do. N
I lived here for almost 3 years from JAN 2021 to DEC 2023 when I was in the Air Force. The property was brand new when I moved in so while overall my experience was ok, there were some noticeable issues you should think about if you decide to rent here. The good: - The apartments themselves were very nice. They were modern, clean and had the balcony had plenty of room for an outdoor seating setup - The leasing staff, in my opinion, was very easy to work with while living there. They were very knowledgeable and didn't make things hard when I had to break my lease early due to getting orders out of Hampton. - The Maintenance crew was awesome, the longest I had to wait for getting a work order finished was two days. First, I would like to say, the experience here was straightforward and streamlined from the very beginning by all the professional ladies who hold down the fort. We were able to get the application and approval taken care of over the phone, from here in Michigan, with ease and amazingly helpful attitudes. The physical paperwork was ready when we got here and we were in and out of the office, with our keys, in a jiffy. This is our third lease renewal, and, from the start, SHANNON has been a stand-out, consummate professional. I don't know if she ever gets a day off because it seems as though every time I need assistance, whether by text or telephone call, it's her who answers.
