I've been at a townlake for 3 years and I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THE UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE. PRIOR TO OTHER 2 COMPLEXES, THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS. DOOR LEADING TO OUTSIDE BROKEN SINCE SEPTEMBER AND IS CONSTANTLY OPEN RESULTING IN EXTREMELY HIGH HEATING COSTS. ALSO PROVIDES NO SECURITY WHATSOEVER. LAST SNOWSTORM I WAS TOLD TO SHOVEL ICE MYSELF BY GARAGE OR PARK BY OFFICE ABOUT A BLOCK AWAY. THOSE WHO PLOWED PUT ALL SNOW IN.HANDICAP SPOT. WORSE PLOWING I HAVE EVER SEEN. ADDITIONALLY THEY PRACTICALLY TURNED OFF THE HEAT BY THE GARAGES AND IN HALLS. HALLS USED TO BE MAINTAINED AT 68 DEGREES ARE BARELY 50 DEGREES NOW ADDITIONALLY ADDING TO HEATING COSTS. Horrific property management (not by the staff- by Kaplan). Nothing gets fixed properly because it’s “not in the budget.” Had a cabinet fall off the actual wall onto us, we frequently get sewer back ups and currently have water coming through my front door, my bathroom, and inside my bath tub. I was about to bathe my infant in that tub. I have a sliding door that hasn’t worked in two years and they refuse to fix it. It got stuck and I couldn’t get back into my apartment after taking the trash out and my 3 month old was inside. Yet every single year without fail the rent goes up. This year our yearly “amenity fee” also went up.

I had lived here for over 7 years. The apartments are well maintained very comfortable places to live with access to NYC by bus without the ny prices

Valentina from the Colony Oaks North Brunswick leasing office is the nastiest, most condescending woman I have ever met. She has 0 customer service skills and has been extremely rude on multiple occasions. She needs to go immediately and is driving so many people away from this property. Maintenance however is wonderful. David and Henry are the hardest working people I have ever met and make the complex bearable to live in.

I had live here about 8 years and I'm pleased of course from time to time is a delay on maintenance but nothing mayor ...nice clean place to live with easy access to NYC transportation
