Henson Creek Apartment Homes

Henson creek is such a beautiful community and place to live. The apartments are kept clean and many are renovated. I highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for an apartment in the area! The property offers a gym that is open late, theater room, and small space for private events. There is also a beautiful pool open in the summer months. A real gem in the Temple Hills area!

Not Recommended – Serious Issues with This Property Let this be your last resort for a place to live. Within the first month of moving in, my toilet broke due to a faulty appliance, and I was forced to pay out of pocket for a replacement. Just two weeks before our move-in, the closet door fell on my daughter while she was trying to put things away. I requested it be removed entirely because it wasn’t properly attached to the hinges, but nothing was done. The electric bill is shockingly high — even with minimal usage and just a washer/dryer, expect to pay around $400 a month through Pepco. If you’re on the bottom floor, prepare for constant water damage around the patio area. This leads to bug infestations that require weekly exterminator visits. Management is excellent. The place is very clean and I love the new washers and dryers. The laundry rooms look and work great. Lastly, the entire complex feels very safe.

I'm only giving this complex 3 stars because of the leasing agent that showed me the apartment. She friendly and professional. However, it's unfortunate that the apartment complex was 1 star. She showed me 2, two bedroom apartments. The first one was ok but the second one definitely had roaches crawling on the wall and floor for 1,999.00 plus a month. The building/stairwell didn't look well kept either. I decided to keep looking but I hope this helps others with their decision to live here. *UPDATE* Someone from corporate reached out to me shortly after this review to make sure I was refunded and I was.

Henson Creek is a great property! The team is great, the residents are wonderful, and the grounds are well kept! Management is very responsive to residents and cares deeply about the needs of the community.
