Haven on Long Grove

Save your time, money, and sanity. Do not rent at Haven on Long Grove. I lived here for a year and it was the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with an apartment. EDIT: By the way: I forgot to mention that they will ruin your credit when you move out. Tell me why a hard inquiry was put on my credit report the month we moved out?? Guess what, they couldn’t even answer that! The “newly renovated” units are a joke. There were hairs painted into the walls, paint all over the mirrors and floors, and a dishwasher that wasn’t even measured correctly so it scraped the cabinets every time it opened. There are no ceiling lights anywhere, so the entire place feels dark and depressing. The office is impossible to reach. You have to call multiple times before anyone picks up, and emails rare

Words can’t express enough how much the team in the leasing office go above and beyond for their residents! My dad has lived here for about 10 years through multiple management changes and I have to say the team that is currently in the office is OUTSTANDING! No matter what you may need, if it’s an emergency or just a simple call, they are always on top of it. I do also want to call out specifically Kylie and Jason for being so diligent and having such a great team!

This place is the worse place to live. There are hidden fees. The materials used is very poor quality my roof fell and I had to stay in an apartment without a proper roof for 2 days and the kids upstairs are always jumping and couple fights at night making impossible to sleep. Kids play in front of your door and hit your door. Neighbor smoke weed and cigarettes and the smell gets in your room. I almost broke my lease because I was sick of it. There is a maintenance guy who drives a grey BMW he is always mean and never wants to help. He is basically always busy doing absolutely nothing. Gabriella and Omar are very nice people, the new leasing agent as well and Kylie every body else need to be TERMINATED ASAP

Me and my girlfriend were leaving the apartment when she was walking down the stairs and quite literally went through the floor. Maintenance had started taking apart the stairs and failed to notify/mark/leave any kind of sign of what they were doing. Weve contacted the owners and gotten 0 call back or any kind of apology about this. We’ve had nothing but problems living here and will be sure to not return. Please be warned do not come here as there are issues all around with this place.

I honestly can’t wait until my lease is up. First in for most the rent is through the roof which is okay because I knew what I was signing up for. On the the other hand maintenance team is a 0/10 they come when they want to they don’t answer the phone, they half do jobs leave and never return to finish. When I first moved in my washer flooded my living room because they didn’t connect the pipes the right way, also there was a SEWER leak in my garage that had my garage smelling like old urine and shit. They changed the holes but once never did a thurl cleaning in my garage. Now my garage has an old pee smell that seeps into my car. There was black mold in my storage closet under the stairs they came out and cut my wall and never returned to fix it. My mailbox’s keys don’t work I still have
