Crown Pointe

DO NOT MOVE HERE. If I could do a negative review, I would. I’ve lived here almost 6 years now and this place is going down hill. The apartment complex is falling apart yet they are increasing rent like crazy. Services take forever and no progress most of the time. No accountability for safety either. There has been an increase in theft around this place. We have had two vehicles stolen in a week!!! Response is pretty much “yep sorry”. The fence is broken along the property. We don’t feel safe here and will be breaking our lease because they will not take measures to make this place safe.

TL;DR & Bottom line: unless significant improvements are made to the property and rent prices are reevaluated, I can't in good faith recommend Crown Pointe to others. After posting my initial review, I received a generic, corporate-style response from UDR that acknowledged nothing and resolved nothing. I’ve dropped my rating from 2 stars to 1 star since my review 2 months ago. I’ve been living at Crown Pointe for nearly 7 years now, and while I appreciate the community and some of the people who work here, I can’t honestly recommend this place to anyone. When I first moved in, my total rent including utilities was about $1,300. Now, it’s about $1,800 — a steep increase for an apartment that’s aging, poorly maintained, and in a neighborhood that feels increasingly unsafe. Around 3 years

Steer clear of this place. We lived here for one year and the list of negatives is long. There were pest issues, our appliances would stop working, mildew growing in the kitchen and bathroom every week, loud neighbors, disgusting dumpster conditions, and more. There is a swimming pool, but it was closed all summer. People would park in our parking spot that we were paying for. They charged us around $400 when we moved out for a "mandatory cleaning" no matter how clean we left our apartment. Management is nice enough, but the list of problems outweighs that. I wouldn't live there again.

I moved out of there in November of 2020. I had lived there for two years. Pros: - Friendly Staff - Nice neighborhood. Pretty quiet(most of the time) - Close to grocery stores and lots of restaurants - Wood burning fireplace is awesome - Minutes from I-405 Cons: - The buildings are a little old and in need of upgrading. Example: Sliding glass doors are old, loud and heavy. The sliding screen door in my unit was bent a little outward and couldn't close all the way. - The counters and appliances aren't anything special. No microwave. Still, I'm not real picky about that stuff so it didn't bother me. - The gutters really need to be cleaned out. Whenever it rained hard enough, the rainwater would just dump onto my patio. I must say that Rachel in the office, and Alex the maintenance man have absolutely gone above and beyond for me and my Family! Rachel has been extremely helpful answering all of our questions and giving us every option. Alex has been so gracious as to know that we work nights and have dogs and accommodated to our schedule for maintenance issues!
