Briarwood Apartments

I've lived at Briarwood for 3 years now and I do really like the apartments. We started out in a 2 bedroom and eventually moved into a 1 bedroom, but both floor plans have A LOT of space! The complex is nice, the property manager Terri has been super accommodating, and all of the maintenance workers have been very friendly and quick to get the job done. There is a mix of tenants, in terms of age, but it's overall a quiet community where mostly everyone is very friendly! And for those that take the bus, it's right off the bus route going to campus and downtown. They are raising the prices this year, but compared to other places in the area, the price is pretty good for the amount of space you get. Even though people have complained about the move out process I found them to be very fair. I did a through job cleaning the apartment, but I missed a few small details. Even so, I received my full deposit back. The Briarwood community is wonderful, quiet and all great neighbors. Your located within walking distance to grocery, restaurants, gyms, parks, trails, and a lot more. I really enjoyed my time living there and would still be there if I hadn't bought a home.

Be aware. The staff are mostly nice until you move out! They are ruthless and most likely will not give you your deposit back. I know a handful of people who cleaned for hours and hours and were still charged hundreds of dollars for “cleaning fees” at move out. We are already very clean and we cleaned for 60 hours at move out and were still charged $60 for small amounts of residue from the cleaner we used (it was barely visible to the human eye). Also, be ready for random emails with all caps sent to all the residents because the office person wants all of the residents to know she’s angry at one of the residents for something.

It has been a year, the AC still cant work for more than a week. They will let any loser sign a lease here our last neighbor had to be evicted in a matter of months, boarded up windows go unfixed, management wont help you and they nickel and dime you everywhere, garages are extra, gym is extra, they lost our mail key and said they gave it to me yet I never went into the office. Look elsewhere a mortgage is cheaper and you don't have to deal with their management.
