Breezewood Park Apartments

My family and I have lived at Breezewood Park Apartments for several months now and Love it. This has been by far the best rental experience we have ever had starting with Application process with the incredible help from the Property Manager Grigg who seems to be available for help 24/7 somehow to the Leasing Agent who was an incredible help with the application process and the move in. The Maintenance staff is the best. Anytime I have had a maintenance request for a repair the maintenance guys show up on the same day and make the repair. Mason the maintenance guy is a really nice and very informative and respectful. They do a great job on snow removal and salting in a timely manner unlike other places we have lived. I just received my “security deposit”. After doing our move-out inspection, the manager was so pleased with how well we cleaned the apartment, we took pride in how well we cleaned it. However, we’re being charged $1,500!!! I’ll be taking them to court. They think wear on carpets/tub after us living there for four years is “excessive”. Insane. I will not be paying them, it’s off to court I go. DO NOT rent from them, you will not see your security deposit, your normal wear will be charged as “excessive wear”. In response to the company’s reply below: We have pet allergies and had zero pets in the apartment, so that is a blatant lie. We vacuumed every 5-7 days as one of us wasn’t working. Breezewood was my first apartment, I lived there Sept 2019- August 2020, and I don't think I could've asked for a better one. Mary, the property manager, was always patient with us and answered every question we had. The apartments themselves are quite nice and clean (the carpets are shampooed every year), and all the interactions I had with other tenants were pleasant. The walls are pretty sound, didn't have any issues with people adjacent to us (you can hear people above you when they're vacuuming or wearing high heels, but that can be said for anywhere with upstairs neighbors). Please avoid renting here if you don't want to be taken advantage of when it comes to getting your security deposit back!! Don't plan on getting any of your security deposit back and be prepared to be excessively charged for "beyond normal wear and tear." I wasn't expecting to get all of our deposit back. When I've rented in the past at other places ive always gotten most of it back... The management has just sent us an invoice of over 1500 dollars for excessive wear and tear. I'm quite frankly in shock because we took pride in taking care of our home while we lived there for the last 4 years. Great Experience. I moved here from another state and had to do everything remotely. Adele was extremely helpful during the qualifying process. Once I arrived, it went very smooth. The apartments are very nice. The appliances are a little out dated but work fine. It's a very quiet neighborhood which is a plus for me. Overall, I do not have one negative thing to say about Breezewood Park. Update July 15, 2019: I have read some of the negative reviews that some are leaving for Breezewood Park. I am not saying that these reviews aren't founded, I'm only updating to say that I have not had one issue since I moved in.
