If you plan on living here, please document EVERYTHING during move in and move out, and have pictures for proof. We moved into a unit that had brand new carpet, lived in the unit for one year, and figured there would be no issues with the move-out process. We couldn't have been more wrong. When moving out, management tried to get us to pay for almost $2,000 of damages. One of those damages was a chip in the bathtub that they only took off because we had pictures of it from move-in. Another damage was the replacement of window blinds that were not damaged at all, and the biggest "damage" was that of our carpet. The manager was very positive and meaningful. He made everything for us feel like a chill environment. Although I did notice a few strange things he was saying. He said that the gate was to keep out "the detractors" who want to ruin his business. He told us that he rarely ever leaves the gate because he's worried about seeing these detractors. This would be 5 stars, except the manager was subtly asking us for money many times. He asked us if we can give him some "support", and when I asked what that means, he explained to us that he survives off of tips, and that he's at $23/150 for 1 of today's goals. Thousands of dollars in vandalism and theft. Garage keeps getting broken into in an attempt to steal my husband's motorcycle. They screw up the bike by shoving a flat head into the ignition but couldnt figure out the wheel lock. They give up and steal tool boxes and everything else they can carry. we ask the complex for help, in way of better locks or even a camera in the back of the lot since they keep hitting multiple garages. since you know... we give them almost 3k a month but NOPE. Absolutely loved my 2 years at Benson Downs! The apartment was newly renovated and pretty spacious. The grounds were very well-kept and improvements were always being made. The pool area was really nice and again, very well kept. Maintenance was extremely responsive if there was something that needed to be fixed. I felt extremely safe walking around the property and never had any issues with packages being left at my door or leaving my car for several days while on trips. Tammy and Luda, as well as all the maintenance staff were wonderful! Always kind, acknowledge when they see you, and even remember your name. It's been almost a year since I moved here from a larger, cheaper apartment in Puyallup (741 sq ft for $1675 vs 719 sq ft for $1850). I must say, we were disappointed at first at some of the downgrades compared to our previous apartment. CONS: (1) smaller laundry machines that required 2-3 loads per week for two people, (2) no more marble kitchen island that served also as a dining table, (3) small, shallow kitchen sink with a divider with water pressure that just sends the water back at you when doing dishes by hand, (4) carpeted floor everywhere except for the kitchen and bathroom, (5) silver fish sighting (we've caught at least 15 of them so far but you see one maybe once every two weeks and moreso during hotter days), (6) the reserved parking spots are small, and (7) you have to pay f
