Apartment on Sixth

Great place to live! My experience has been very positive. Office staff is absolutely amazing with both move in and move out processes. The overall environment is very positive and welcoming. Maintenance was always responsive and completed my requests in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend Apartment on Sixth.

Lived here for 2 years. No one ever answers the phone in the office. Had horrible upstairs neighbor who blasted loud music until 4 am. Nothing was done, even after he had received multiple citations for noise disturbance by Lawrence PD. He still lives here. Lots of cigarettes all over the sidewalks and yard. A lot of people here smoke and it will fill your apartment. No parking available after 5 on weekdays so people park blocking the road and in front of fire hydrants. Trashy neighbors have ruined what used to be decent student apartments and management refuses to enforce any rules. Do not live here.

I did not enjoy living here. The carpet was dirty once we moved in and would leave our socks gray and stained from just the carpet. It was reasonable rent and I appreciated the washer and dryer but would definitely not recommend. Once I received my move out calculation, I reached out via email on concerns. I sent this email in September 2022 and was told that it would be looked into and that I would receive an update. I have sent 3 emails now regarding an update politely and have yet to hear back.

Lived here from 2018-2019, would have stayed but I got married and in my opinion it's too small for a couple and a dog. Overall the experience was good. However, I lived in a lower unit and when I first moved in there was mold on the ceiling and the unit had a moldy smell. The management took care of it, and I believe it to be a flaw in the lower units in general. In order to keep the mold in check I had to keep a dehumidifier running at all times. The maintenance did provide one for me and this worked.

I've lived here for over 3 years. Staff is AWESOME, and the apartment is just the right size for a single guy. They are energy efficient, and very well built. I rarely hear my upstairs neighbor at all Apartments are safe and quiet. I haven't heard any loud partying or such since I've lived here.
