Alice Patricia Apartments

I moved in a little over a year ago with my fiancé, and since the move we've had nothing but easy living here in our 2nd-floor single bed unit. Our unit is clean, the fixtures and appliances are new, and the walls are thick enough to where you don't really hear the outside aside from the occasional loud exhaust. The best part is the maintenance and community service. We have had 2 issues with our unit in the last year requiring maintenance to come out, and both times were handled professionally and quickly, with the gentlemen being friendly and personable throughout. The community manager is always texting letting us know of events happening, and sometimes they do cookouts and other fun activities at the office that they invite everyone too. We’ve had a great experience living in this apartment complex so far. We had several maintenance issues upon moving into our unit from the previous tenants, however, the staff and maintenance team (special shoutout to Dan the Man!) were extremely responsive to our requests and all the issues we had were resolved promptly, and we also received a discount off of our first month’s rent. It’s a fairly quiet area (minus when the kids get home from school!) with nice neighbors. The location is great; very close to shopping centers, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The price for a 3-bedroom unit is also very reasonable compared to many other apartments we were looking at. It’s been a great fit for us this year!

I wish there was a zero stars. We moved into the complex in waukee Iowa. Worst experience I have ever had . The apartments are built horribly for the price you pay. I lived on the 3rd floor which in most apartments the 3 rd floor is the warmest in the winter months. We we had to move out on New Year’s Eve cause our 6 year olds room at night would go down to 50 degrees at night. During the summer months we had our ac running non stop from like 9 am till about 11 pm cause the ac unit couldn’t keep up . We sent in a total of 11 request for either the ac not keeping our apartment cool and running all the time or my son’s bedroom not staying warm. We got told there is nothing they could do. Told us last month to put a mini room heater in there with a 6 year old at night to keep him warm. Asked

Moved in almost a couple yrs ago. It WAS nice and quiet. Not so much anymore. Don’t move here unless u want your car to be broken into, ur apartment windows to be broken into, ur car vandalized, high school kids to be spitting gum on the floor right outside ur apartment doors and hallways. Ppl openly smoke weed outside in their cars. Have zero consideration for their neighbors who don’t want to smell that. Have had incidents where high schoolers are vaping outside our door to avoid being caught and then they yank on the handles or the door to see if they’re unlocked or not. Fights in the parking lots. Management does nothing to stop any of the violence or disruptions. Cheaply made apartments. Cops are always here. It’s gone down hill tremendously. Can’t wait for my lease to expire. Because

I would give maintenance 5 stars if I could. They are fast and friendly. Randy and Dan are both knowledgeable and considerate. However, giving this complex a one star. The quality of life here has gone down tremendously since they basically allow anyone to live here. Management is almost impossible to get ahold of. Hardly answers the phone, text, or email. They sometimes take complaints seriously. Kids are running around by themselves without any adult supervision. Which is surprising considering how many cars fly through the parking lot. The kids will run up and down the stairs all hours of the day and night, even during school hours. There are kids and adults here that leave trash outside of their apartments and all over the common grounds. Like another review said, the trash also pil
