If I could give zero stars, I would. This has been the worst new construction experience I’ve ever had. The builder has been completely unprofessional, unresponsive, and careless from day one. For context, I work in the commercial real estate development industry, specifically in multifamily. I understand how construction, quality control, and builder accountability is supposed to work — and what I’ve experienced here falls drastically short. The detached garage was advertised in the rendering I signed off on as 20x20, which should have easily fit my standard 19-foot pickup truck. Make sure everything is done before you move you. During the process of building, we noticed the shower wall was crooked. We told the builder and saleswoman that it was crooked multiple times and they did nothing about it. Then once’s the drywall and tile was in place, they came back and said they noticed the wall is crooked and they have to fix it. So they fixed it and said they will have to come back after we have moved in to put the glass wall and door in. We have moved in for over a month, and we are still unable to shower in our master bathroom along with a glass door sitting out in our bedroom because Haze has poor communication skills and is unable to properly coordinate a time to install the glass. I have filled their online form 3 different times, left voice mails, sent text messages and emails to schedule a showing for a house we are interested in the Twin Lakes neighborhood to no avail. I finally called their Charleston office and managed to book an appointment. The lady on the phone took our information and told me that their sales agents will call us. They did not. I have been trying to reach this company for three weeks now and I give up! All of this awful experience is telling me that they simply cannot be a reliable business to buy a property from. It is a shame because the photos of their homes online looked awesome. :(
