When it comes to dealing with large sums of money in purchasing a home, being able to trust what your title company representative tells you is imperative. Unfortunately this is NOT that title company. Due to the timing of our closing, we were required to pay our summer taxes plus a fifty percent buffer approximately three weeks in advance of the summer tax bill mailing. Being a rather significant amount of cash out of pocket, we sought assurances from Melissa of Title Resource Agency that the tax bill would in fact be paid asap and that we would receive the 50% overpayment at that time. She assured us repeatedly that we would and that the tax bill would be paid as soon as it was received. We trusted her and finished the closing. After two plus weeks had gone by after the summer tax
