The Retreat at Sawgrass Village

This is a great property I love living here and my daughter enjoys it as well. The property was managed by Amli and is under new management, and I will say they are both good. The new office team is much nicer, and they painted the building inside and out, which has definitely improved the look of the building. I do see some reviews from others about cleanliness and safety, but I, for one think the building looks great, and as for safety, no one can guarantee that for me, and I am not afraid.

It's my 2nd year here at the Retreat at Sawgrass Village after recently transferring from one unit to another. Kaylee and Courtney from the leasing office were so thoughtful and accommodating when helping me find a new unit! Overall the unit is very nice with every amenity I could need at the perfect location.

Don’t be fooled by the outdated 5-star reviews. Those are from when it was Amli. Everything since then reflects the truth about life at The Retreat at Sawgrass Village. There was a brutal murder of a young woman in the parking garage, and since then, management has done nothing to make residents feel safer. No night security. Instead, they hired a towing company that aggressively tows residents’ cars even if you’re registered for things as minor as parking slightly over a line or uploading your registration twice. They don’t notify you or keep track, so your car could be gone while you’re on vacation. Packages are constantly stolen, and their solution? Under new management as The Retreat at Sawgrass Village, my experience as a tenant has significantly declined. There was a murder on the property, and instead of increasing safety measures or hiring security, management brought in a towing company that actively targets residents. Even if your vehicle is registered and in compliance, it can be towed for something as minor as slightly parking on a line or uploading “too many documents” during registration. I personally had my car towed and had to pay $500 for just two days at the tow yard. The living conditions are poor. The common areas are dirty, and maintenance is severely lacking. Have been a resident here for over 3 years, it has been such a shame to have lost the old ownership, the status of almost all things, trash maintenance, garage maintenance, the employees (both at the office and the ones that do maintenance) are nowhere at the level it used to be. The pool areas, grills, the chairs and lounges used to be maintained. The pool now is in disarray. To keep charging the same amount of rent for the community becoming what it is is just sad to see. Hard to recommend this apartment for other than location being close to highway and stadium.
