Elegance in Mount Prospect is how they bill themselves. I laughed. Spend the extra money and live somewhere nicer if you can afford to. This place is a dump. The 13 year old kid downstairs summed it up as I overheard him say to his Dad “$2,000 a month and there’s garbage everywhere” A KID SEES IT. Nailed it. Why have trash corrals? The dumpsters sit outside of them overflowing at all times. The huge rats are rampant. Trash blows all over the place and no one on staff is bothered to clean the grounds. Maintenance treats the grass like a motor speedway, so our “backyard” is a strip of mud and tire tracks from the golf carts. The grass is non-existent anymore. I have to have packages sent to my work because I’ve had two stolen from the mailbox lobby, and a mailbox left open resulted in a b

I've lived here for close to 2 years. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. If there are maintenance needs all I have to do is call and they're taken care of. The garbage dumpsters are emptied numerous times per week. No pest issues. The apartment is nice with plenty of closet space. My only issue (& minor at that) is the lack of a medicine cabinet in the bathroom. I'm handicapped and have no issues getting around. Everyone are so friendly here.

Alright, so The Element never got back to me on my unjustly increased rent or in-unit issues so I'll just go ahead and post all this for people who are considering living here. **Please believe the 2.7 overall rating. It's accurate.** If you're looking at the 850 sq ft 2 bed units. Don't. Not worth the ++$1,500 at all. There is extremely limited space. The living room is about the size of a bedroom and the closets are outdated/falling off the rails(pictures included). My rommie and I have put in a work order but the worker decided NOT to change out the rail, but rather just placed the door back on the faulty rail instead. This is the worst place ever to rent at!!! The staff changes monthly, the apartments are not luxury, the building is not secure, and the apartments are way overpriced!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!!! The staff are rude and don't give a damn about you as a renter!! They don't care if you've been a faithful and loyal tenant!!! Maintenance sucks!!! I'm outta here when my lease ends!!!! Can't wait!!! They never answer the damn phone!!!

The WORST apartment I’ve ever lived in. If you can, please choose elsewhere!! You’ll never get assistance from the office, maintenance SUCKS. I’ve had my refrigerator go out multiple times. They told me that I was getting a new refrigerator only for them to bring me back the SAME refrigerator and all they did was replace a part in the back from another old refrigerator. They turn off the heat in April so you’ll have to buy a space heater to keep warm during those cold days in the spring time. Very dirty!!
