The Creeks of Gladstone Apartments

Im a 62 year old woman on section 8. First off i went in and they took my voucher 2 days before it expired knowing good and we'll that the rental process was goin to take longer than that. An agency helped with my deposit, pet deposit and something else. They took this money even before I was approved which I've never seen any other apartment do. Then when I canceled my application they refused to give the agency the check back. I knew I couldn't get the deposit back but it clearly stated that the others were refundable. The office manager is a joke and the leasing manager doesn't know what she's doing. I really tried to give it zero stars.

I am currently looking for a new place to live for myself and my kids. Rae toured me with a 2 bedroom apartment. I explained my situation for relocating and she was very understanding. She explained the move-in process and if I could prorate the rent if I move in prior to or after the first of the month. When I asked her about pets, she was very informative and even asked to see pictures if I had them handy. Well, of course I do!!! Ultimately, it was such a great experience I had with Rae. I am touring at a couple other locations, but I will definitely keep Creeks at the top of my list to revisit... all because of her!

The office people are Not very pleasant at all. My apartment is cozy. However, people above me are loud and rude. I haven’t come across any nice people here at all. If I didn’t have to live here I wouldn’t but at this moment, I don’t have a choice.. I do like my apartment, though I keep it pretty clean and cozy. I’m disabled so the downfall is they do not accommodate the disabled at all.

Every single person in management is horrendous and does not care about living conditions being sanitary and the property manager would rather argue with you for 65 emails straight instead of actually correcting the problem. On move in my refrigerator tested positive for two types of mold and had a broken door and I still had to fight for the appliance to be replaced. Bugs were always an issue. I was told at one point in time that the parking lot lamp couldn't be fixed because of "budget reasons". My cold water was 87 degrees F and only excuses were given to not fix the plumbing. Every 2-3 months I'd have a water pipe burst. The manager does not follow the lease unless it benefits her. Honestly would do 0 stars, to put in perspective i am a 21, FM, Moving out of parents house, and have a service animal. I was set to move into a studio yesterday was told my building and apt number but when I went to sign papers half way through signing I was told they gave me the wrong apartment info and I had to call WiFi and evergy to change everything. I get my keys and walk into what I was told was a “ready and just cleaned” apartment and immediately saw roaches crawling out of the sink, they were crawling on the walls, floors windows, just literally everywhere, there was brown marks on ceiling and in/on bathroom cabinets, I called and told the office and they said they’d have someone come vacuum them out “best they can” but pest control wouldn’t be there til Monday. We found a old pi
