Summit Ridge Apartments

Prairie Property did more to make Summit Ridge habitable for the roaches than it did its tenants. They were notified in July ‘25 of a potential infestation, to then only fumigate one or two units. They were aware that this infestation was affecting units from the first to the third floor and chose not to fumigate the entire building because they didn’t want to “cause a panic”. When asked to switch buildings due to the increasing severity of the infestation, we were told we’d be treated as new tenants and charged accordingly. Management brushed us off as if we hadn’t been model tenants for the almost four years we’d been living there. One of the employees in the management office went so far as to essentially tell us that we should expect to have roaches while living in an apartment of this

This is by far the worst apartment I’ve lived in. The entire building smells terrible, there’s always garbage everywhere in the hallways and stairs. Management is rude. I would get noise complaints all the time for just walking around or talking to my roommate, it’s not sound proof at all. They will also take all your security deposit money when you leave and try to scam your money. Also every maintenance request you put in, you the tenant have to pay for. And all of your packages will most likely get stolen because there is zero security in the building.

These are the worst apartments I’ve ever lived in. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND living there or reting from the Prairie Property company AT ALL. They are thieves because they steal your deposit and make you pay MORE for anything that was broken before living in the apartment and if you show them proof that it was broken before moving they say “ well it’s not our problem, I don’t see it written in the sheets” that is what this thief Susan said. We asked them ahead of time to put all these things in those sheets and they did not. We were too busy to look after these things and now they made us pay for all the things we did not do. I am 100% sure that they will not fix these things and will make the next victim pay for it all again and put the money in their pockets. The whole team is very rude

Update: Slum Lords I believe they are called! The apartment itself is nice to live in. But I would DEFINATELY NOT live there! My friend has had 99% of her UPS packages stolen from the small entrance they call a mail room. She gets a massage it has been delivered, but when she gets down there.. there is NOTHING! Speaking to several others in those apartments, everyone has the same issue. The cops have been called. They can't do anything unless they are caught in the act. There ARE cameras, and that was brought up to management. NONE..N.O.N.E. OF THEM ARE "CONNECTED"! Management has known about this but wont do anything! There's a drug dealer [allegedly] that lives in the building. Hes been reported to the cops. Again, no physical proof, won't do anything. Poor water pressure for shower

Enjoyed the apartments and the workout center. The distance is great for MSUM students! The main road is always cleared by snow plows quickly. There could have been better communication with prairie property management. Make sure to clarify during the move-in move-out process. For example, I had to call a couple times to clarify that I had completed a written notice.
