Summit Court Apartments

This has been a wonderful experience. Every step of the process from the tour to the move-in was top tier. The grounds are beautiful and the apartments are modern. I’m in a one bedroom. It’s 700 sq feet, but the available space was very smart and thought out — the closets are nice sizes, and even the cabinet space is angled in such a way that you can fit a nice amount of dishes, pots/pans, blenders, etc. Having a washer and dryer is also a huge plus. The staff are so pleasant and welcoming, even maintenance, which I have never experienced. I feel safe and I feel comfortable. The only issue I have, which really isn’t that serious, is the parking lot isn’t very big, so I have to park on the street, but it’s not far to park on the street. This has been the most horrible experience. The Managment is awful. They lied to us about who our neighbors will be. They told us it’s a single mom and a daughter, meanwhile it was a father and son who constantly played loud music and smelled up the apartment. When we complained to management they said to call police. They ignored all our maintenance requests for weeks. The stairs were unsafe and the lights in the basement were always “ out “. No one and I mean NO ONE should rent from them. We begged to break our lease and they ignored us until we reached out to the building owner on line. 0 stars!!!!!!

Walls ultra thin you can hear everything like they’re right with you. Too loud and obnoxious. Other tenant downstairs using my washer and dryer. For almost 2200 it should not be taxing.

The building is very old, partly renovated. It's located in a very good neighborhood. It is good for the price (the apartments in this area are usually expensive). Problems: The AC system spends a lot of energy, and makes a loud noise, as mentioned by others, but the electricity bill is not 400-500$, in our case it is 150$ a month. The basements and the staircases are very old and scary. There is no door bell (they don't work). We haven't had any problems with neighbors or the management though. Overall, it is good, but not perfect in my opinion.

RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!! Do not rent from this place!!!! If you do, add an additional $400-$500 onto your rental and other fees. Cons- They have MICE, the new heaters/AC units that were installed a year ago are NOT ENERGY EFFICIENT. When we first moved here, they offered us free heat. When they installed these new units, the tenants were not informed that the free heat was discontinuing. Other rental properties offer free heat as an amenity. Your heating/cooling bill will cost you $400-$500 monthly. The only thing that they offered to compensate us with is a one time $50 deduction off of our rent. Not to mention, the expensive rental fees for this dump. They are beginning to rent this place out to ANYBODY. It doesn’t feel safe anymore. The smell of weed is consistently outside, and in our uni
