Stratford Court Apartments

I have lived here for almost 3 years, and I would not recommend it to anyone. The building is beautiful from the outside, but the inside is in need of a major renovation and upgrade. I'm currently dealing with roaches, it's very disturbing and disgusting.

I have been here at this apartment building for three months. The same cockroach problem is occurring daily. I’ve spoken to the maintenance but there is still a problem. I was told that the tenant before me was the cause to the bug problem. Come to find out it is the entire building. I need something done asap!

When I first moved into Stratford Court Apartments in 2014 there was a manger on site (Marty) and the place was kept very clean. There was a cleaning crew that thoroughly cleaned the hallways, stairwells and the laundry room on a weekly basis. New management took over in 2016 and it has changed hands several times since then. Currently Woodward Properties is managing the building and they are doing a poor job of maintaining the inside of the apartment. They have poured money into power washing the building, landscaping, paving the sidewalks and painting the hallways however the laundry room is filthy!!!! I now go to the laundromat to wash clothes. If I have an issue with anything in my apartment, I can always count on the maintenance crew to handle it usually within a day - sometimes the same day. They are always efficient and reliable. Most importantly, they are clean and honest.

Edit: Since Woodward Properties has taken ownership of the building they have been working making improvements (new paint and carpeting, new side entrance doors that will no longer have broken locks). They have also been very quick and responsive to maintenance requests. ______________ The upkeep of the building went down drastically in the last year and a half. Common areas used to be cleaned on a daily basis, now cleaning is done infrequently and not thoroughly. The hallway floors are dirty most of the time, there’s dead bugs laying on the floors, the stairwell windows are filthy, hedges out front are overgrown, laundry room floors are dirty, and hallways have an unpleasant odor most of the time. It’s a shame as it used to be such a well maintained building and nice place to live.
