Samia is a fantastic company! As an agent, I want to work with a respectable landlord who follow through for me and my clients. They are the ONLY landlord in Boston who will approve maintenance requests in writing before a client moves in. I have had multiple instances where units needed work, and I was completely confident in telling my clients they’d have the work completed before they moved in. They are very large and they can’t be everywhere at once. There will of course be issues that need to be remedied from time to time. Unfortunately when people move in and are happy, the landlord has just done their job instead of going above and beyond. I’ve lived in a Samia Company managed property in Haverhill, MA for almost 4 years now. One of the owners, Edward Saab, has a daughter who happens to be my next door neighbor. This tenant causes numerous disturbances, from banging on the walls to screaming obscenities to blowing a whistle (the type you’d hear at a child’s baseball game or from a crossing guard), at ALL hours of the night. Her most active time seems to be around 2-3 AM. I have documented and notified the management company for multiple years of these issues, and yet NOTHING has been done about it - after quite a bit of research, turns out that this is due to a severe case of nepotism from the owner, Edward J. Charlie from maintenance painted and installed cabinets and drawers in the kitchen of my apartment. He did a fantastic job. They look sooo good. He even made a functional drawer where there was previously only a drawer front that did not actually work. He was very professional and friendly. He pays attention to detail and he takes pride in his work. He was also very good at communicating with me on what to expect and when he would be in my apartment. I am very happy with the work he completed and his professionalism.

Avoid if you can (it's at least better than being homeless). Management will be friendly but not very useful if you have a super noisy neighbor that will scream at all hours of the day (especially when they're losing at their video games or screaming at their elderly mother, what fun to listen to!), and management will "talk to them" but no difference will be made, Even if you have two years worth of emails regarding the noisy neighbor. (Which I'm fine with noise in an apartment setting but screaming obscenities throughout the night or while you're trying to work for years is unacceptable) Also if you like indoor waterfalls and mold, Samia Co buildings are for you. I am still pinching myself to believe this place is real! I am so happy with the apartment, the improvements made before moving in, and the views! The neighbors are all really nice as well. The agent kept in touch and made all the paperwork very easy.Its very quiet and peaceful~
