Actionvest Management Corporation

Current resident here. I haven’t had any bad experiences until today, and I felt the need to share it. They charge a $125 lockout fee, which is pretty normal, so no concern there. However, the fee needs to be paid to the person letting you in before you can go back into your apartment, and it has to be CASH. So just to paint a picture… If you get locked out at 2am by accident in your pajamas, you’re expected to have $125 cash on you at that time to be let back in to where you live. I find this insane. Rarely anybody carries $125 cash on them, and certainly not when they get locked out of their apartment. 0 stars

Horrible with communication, we didn’t have heat for about a month one winter, and sent many work orders and emails and then finally were told that no one knew about it. I moved out but was still on the lease and still actively paying rent, but I was not contacted about any type of security deposit or anything I had to go through the other tenant that still lived there to find out any information, and since I was not told that it was ending early I had a plan on what day I was picking up my belongings, and they were thrown in the trash because I was not communicated with. My lease was not up until Sept 30. and my belongings were thrown out on Sept 21.

Review: If I could give this property management company zero stars, I would. This place is a masterclass in how not to communicate. They manage to fail at the absolute basics of customer service by leaving residents in the dark about everything that affects our daily routines. Last-minute maintenance notices? That’s their specialty. You might find out about your HVAC being serviced when they’re halfway done with yours, or you’ll find out parking areas are inaccessible when you’re trying to leave for an appointment or workout class, which has happened to me on several occasions. They act as if everyone’s schedule revolves around their incompetence. Got work? Appointments? Responsibilities? Good luck! When they do bother to send out notifications, they’re vague, misleading, or borderline

Looks like the majority of complaints are from people who don't live on the property, and therefore don't have any idea what they're talking about. I've been dealing with Actionvest as a tenant for almost 15 years. They are great; quick to handle issue which are their responsibility, happy to communicate with Landlords when the issue isn't. They do a great job keeping the public areas in order. The staff is always friendly. The public areas are kept clean and tidy. In the winter the sidewalks are cleared and safe remarkably fast after the snow has fallen. I'm in the process of buying my unit, and a factor in my decision to buy here was definitely Actionvest!

I have been living in a building managed by Actionvest for some time now, and I have never dealt with a more rude and incompetent group of people. The level of disrespect that they have for their customers is appalling. Emergency service requests are disregarded and not taken care of for days - and even when they are "resolved," they really aren't. Actionvest is a complete waste of money and I would highly recommend using any other property management company. If I could give them less stars, I would.
