Customer Reviews
I lived at River Pointe for about 2.5 years. Nothing in the apartments are updated. The baseboard heaters are ancient. Barely kicks out heat on the highest setting. No proper ventilation, so mold easily grows, especially in the bathroom. There was black mold in at least mine and a neighbor’s bathroom. One of my air conditioning units were so old and smelled musty/moldy every time I turned it on. They wouldn’t replace it. Communication is awful when you put in a request for repairs. It takes them a long while to acknowledge requests and then they’ll say it’s because of understaffing, which could be communicated in the first place. I was given a warning about having a retractable clothes line on my first floor walk out patio, in which all I hung to dry were towels or blankets that would get
5 stars for Brittany Tomlin and Karissa. They are always quick to respond to any concerns I have. They are very nice and professional. I can tell they really care about the residents here. Also maintenance always comes 1 day after a request is submitted so big appreciation to them. Con: Thin floors and walls. Train shakes the building.
Decent place to live, better than most places in the city (that aren’t new), currently there is a lot of inside work being done (since old ownership neglected responsibilities) maintenance runs behind a lot, I don’t recommend living here if you have small kids, more suited for dogs. If you are single and your body is in good shape then not a bad place to live. Appliances are outdated, ventilation is bottom tier. It’s more about if you want to be part of an unfinished project and reap the benefits in the end, if so this is a good place, if not then keep looking for something more modern.
Be cautious when dealing with the property manager Shannon. While visiting family for the holiday weekend, we were trying to obtain a guest parking pass. What usually is a seamless process became a nightmare interaction during a time of happiness and cheer. Shannon was very condescending towards our mother and when a family member tried to interject, Shannon told the family member to leave the office. I hope that anyone who visits this complex has a smooth interaction but if there are people who have had the same experience, I’d urge you to leave a review to show a pattern of concerning behavior.
Their property manager, Shannon, is an absolute nightmare and has displayed an egregious lack of professionalism and abuse of authority. Please avoid interacting with this apartment complex and this staff member specifically, as a potential risk to your psychological safety. On multiple occasions, she has escalated situations with my mother and sister, after they each came to her with questions and concerns. She is rude, dismissive and quite frankly, an intentionally unreliable and dangerous narrator who puts words in your mouth while hurdling false accusations as a way to justify escalating the conversation. I have witnessed her speak to residents with the utmost disrespect, words oozing with condescension, kick them out of her office as a power trip, and whip out her customer service f
