ReNew Miramonte

I have been living at Renew Miramonte for over a year now. In the short time I have been here, I have dealt with mice, plumbing repairs to both bathrooms due to mice chewing on the plumbing, a strange patch that grows in the master bedroom bathroom. Additionally, they had the audacity to increase or rent when our lease was up, regardless of us having to deal with the issues mentioned above. My roommate and I have had to deal with disposing of personal items damaged by mice and water damage. I have also had to clean so much mice poop, as the exterminator will state that is not their job. When the issues with water leaks began in my bathroom, the repair person came by and swore up and down it was due to condensation (surprise, surprise, it was not). I have lived here for about five months, and I must express my dissatisfaction with the utility charges. The trash fee, exceeding $350 per month, seems excessive compared to what I’ve encountered in previous rentals and what homeowners typically pay. Additionally, the water fees are high, despite our efforts to conserve. I believe it would be more equitable for management to implement a system that charges residents based on actual waste generated. This would ensure that those who contribute more to the waste problem are held accountable, rather than imposing high fees on those who produce minimal waste. Overall, the current structure feels unfair and burdensome.

No one is ever at the office. You don’t get parking. You pay an arm and a leg to not have an assigned parking. There are cars that have been seating there for years when those spaces can be used for residents to park. There were so many things that didn’t work when we first moved in. Rent went up another arm. Definitely a last resort type of move.

When we moved here in September our stove didn't have gas for like a week. One of the shower sliding doors was misaligned so it seemed to be falling off from the bottom part that holds it together (dangerous for us). Outside provider maintenance that Renew hired said it couldn't be repaired due to missing screws/too old/missing clamp(s) but since then hasn't replaced our door.
