Easily one of the best choices in builder that we could have made. Their eagerness to work with us on our design ideas and to make things right when something was awry, was second to none. Their Sales, Design, Construction, and Purchasing teams were beyond professional, helpful, sympathetic, and were great at communicating every step of the way. Cannot be more happy with our beautiful home, and would recommend Our Country to every friend, family, or stranger that we could! EDIT 11/19 in response to OCH: My contract was signed mid-2021. Well into COVID. OCH probably saw some rising material costs but they also sold their phase two lots to another developer around the same time for what I would guess was a nice post-Covid profit. My wife and I asked our sales rep Chris Lowery specifically if there could be any price increases after contract. He said no and then said the owner of the company would rather go out of business than ever ask someone for more money after a contract was signed. When I questioned Chris about this after they asked for 15% more his response was “they are making me a liar.” Water sits for months in many ditches in the neighborhood. Not days. New home build in Falls of Prosper and Closed July 2021 Falls of Prosper- Very disappointed in the finishing experience. I feel like the only “Custom” benefit that sets OCH apart from the cookie cutter homebuilders is the ability to design your own floorplan. Attention to detail was lacking and I had to be the inspector and quality control to complete the finish out. We moved our closing date 3x to accommodate their schedule due to so many items unfinished and we finally closed July 12. This wasn't our first home build but it was our worst experience. Pre-close walk through, we, the home buyer, had to point out exterior doors not painted, drywall around windows unfinished, appliance not working, bricks missing in exterior wall, bricks separated from the mortar around 7 windows, our garage

Like many of the reviews posted on Our Country Homes I warn all to beware of missing anything on a walk through. My experience is a bit unique as I purchased a brand new never lived in OCH home from the original owner. The house is 7 months old. To say the quality of the finish work is poor would be very generous. Was is most disappointing is the lack of ownership of the issues from OCH. We have a beautiful kitchen but upon inspection the finish paint work has paint runs everywhere. The finish work on the walls is also very poor. Just don’t turn the lights on in your new home and you will be very pleased. Discussions with the builder have ended in the original owner did not identify these issues on a walk through so basically “it is what it is”. The homes are marketed as customer homes and
