Magic City Management

I used to rave about this property management company’s exceptional service, but my experience over the past year has been nothing short of disappointing. We've been with them for about five years, but lately, everything has gone downhill. As of November 7th, I am still waiting for rental payments for September and October—payments that should have been made on time. In September, our property sustained wind damage, and I expected the management company to handle the repairs and send me the bill. When I inquired about the status, I was told that there were no available contractors until December. Living out of state, I took matters into my own hands and hired subcontractors to complete the repairs within a week. The whole point of having a management company is to alleviate these burdens,

Sometimes it's hard to contact them. They are pretty good at taking care of any problems with our rental. They usually respond in an appropriate time depending on the problem & don't have a problem showing up on bad weather. They do contract out to professionals for most issues, but the manager can work on some issues. Overall, good to work with living in our rental. We personally haven't had an issue with late rent, but I have heard from other tenants that this Rental Agency does not take long to evict for like 1 month late. But this is just what I have heard. They are quick to evict for late rent. But overall very nice people.

Jason and Katie owe me 2 months of back rent. I am an owner of a property they manage. For the last year I have had to call to get our monthly rent amount, less their management fees. Then they just stopped paying us. They won’t answer phone calls, texts or emails.

I would give zero stars if that were an option. Unfortunately this company is not worth your time. We had Jason as a property manager for a while when we moved for military. He is a very lazy property manager and will do as little as possible. He and his company lack in communication. If there is something in need of being fixed he will do a poor job with the fix yet still charge you full price. We once even had to contact him from states away to visit our property and figure out why there was a huge burn mark on our vinyl siding ( which we only new was there because we switched insurance and they went out to see the property). As property owners we gave this company a try because the two larger ones in town have poor reputations. We were disappointed with them and ended up firing them. Here's why. Our home was posted on 6/16. After a few unanswered emails and phone calls, they finally called us in mid-august saying they had two potential applicants and asked if our property would be available to view on a certain date. We said yes. 10 days later we hadn't heard back from them. I then left 3 messages and an email. They finally reached out. It turns out they misunderstood our move-out date and were waiting for us to leave the house vacant. When we first discussed, we told them we'll move out as soon as a tenant is ready to move-in.
