You cannot run these Portland properties with a weak management company. When Liberty took over ours after months of turnover chaos and bad management they IMMEDIATELY set about property rehabilitation and established order. I felt safer and more comfortable than I had in the years spent living there. These guys have the experience and put the work into making community happen. Keep it up!!

I do really love my apartment. And so far I have not had any issues with any of the office folks. The reason for my less than stellar rating is the landscaping upkeep. I work late and I was at my hospital job until 4am. It's currently 8am and there's a hedge right outside my bedroom (that I obviously have no control over) and the landscaping company they partner with is using extremely loud machinery (which is totally normal) literally 10 feet away from my bed. This happens weekly and as someone who struggles with sleep and works late hours I brought this up to the office, and while they were sympathetic, ultimately they said there's nothing they can do. So all this to say, I bear no ill will towards anyone involved, but I do want people to know that if you work odd hours or struggle with

My wife and I lived in a small complex managed by Liberty for a little over three years. During that time the office staff were professional and helpful. Our rent was raised just once during that period - by a reasonable amount. Every maintenance issue we had was dealt with quickly and completely. In fact, the maintenance person who handled our complex was very good and very professional. The laundry facilities were kept fairly clean - any issues with cleanliness had to do with other tenants, not with the maintenance. When we moved out we cleaned the apartment thoroughly and Liberty returned our entire security deposit. I thought parking rules were dealt with a little haphazardly, but parking disputes have been an issue at every apartment we have rented, so...

STAY AWAY & SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE. Especially, don't even try to rent from Liberty Management if you are unemployed. I am a recent college graduate and currently looking for employment. However unlike most people my age I have been saving as much money as I could in hopes I would have enough for a down payment on a home, after graduation. Unfortunately my living arrangement has become unsustainable and therefore am being forced into the rental market, for now. Long story short (i guess) is Liberty expects their unemployed applicants to have $50k in their bank accounts for a minimum of 3 months. Seriously? This would equate to almost 4 years of rental payments. And when it comes to the apartment, it really needs updating and fixing in some areas, but I was willing to deal w

While the grounds and units are amazing and the office team is also amazing. The manager from the leasing company is not. I'm in process of getting a lawyer due to discrimination based on income , and disability which are protected classes. We have housing which in 13+ years has been enough with our SSI for income. But he said housing would need to co-sign??? We asked all other hosuings orgs if that's ever happened and they agree it hasn't. Oh and any co-signed needs to make 5x full rent so 11k. In poor that would never happen. So we contacted FHCO and the law center. He claimed the buck stopped t him and when asked for his last name he said yo u don't need that and hung up on our housing case manager. I looked it up and it says Bill is owner not Greg.
