Kings Manor Apartments

I have lived here since 2018. There are so many things wrong at kings manor. There are cockroaches in building 4309. There has been multiple instances of gun fire in the years I've lived here. People will blast music in the middle of the night with no regards to anyone else. Domestic violence is also audible through the walls of my apartment often. The place generally smells like cigarettes in the halls. I wouldn't recommend ever sending a package to here as nearly every package seems to get stolen. Maintenance requests are often ignored. The building is rarely secured as people have broken the locks on the doors repeatedly, or they'll put a rock in the door to prevent it from closing. It does not feel safe. I've heard a person trying to break and enter my apartment repeatedly one morning.

I live in the 4215 building and there is a current roach problem! I have been here for about 2.5 years and had NOT saw a roach until recently! Management doesn't listen so I don't bother to call anymore! I have a work order out since November 2024 that has not been responded to. These buildings are outdated, however there has been a rent increase every year since I have been here! The carpet in the hallway is old and filthy, the windows and appliances are outdated, faucets in the bathrooms leak and don't match. I have voiced concerns that I don't have access to the buzzer system since I have been here and nothing gets done. Management doesn't have to reside here so they don't care! This place is set up for section 8. That’s sad because although these ppl have it they should take better care of the building. My balcony door or screen doesn’t close. I froze all winter and had to keep my door closed and the air on all summer. My windows are not done my door don’t stay closed. My tub runs even when it’s off. I asked for new blinds when I moved in the maintenance guy looked at me funny. My blinds are dirty dingy and broken have been since I moved in. I get all kind of bug cause the window seals are trash. Th windows are falling apart. They just don’t take care of there buildings period. They go up on the rent but, won’t remodel . This is the second complex of there’s I’ve lived in. Sad this place is worse than Moonraker and it looks nicer. It’s the management who don’t care about the ones who care for their place. I’ve been trying to move from Moonraker for years because of the area. I don’t feel safe in the area because there’s always shootings, there was 3 murders down the road at the African store. Moonraker actually has the best maintenance team and management team. I will miss that if I ever can find a good place to move too. I just wish it was like how it was when I first moved in, in 2011. Rent keeps going up and it’s not worth it.

I don’t live here- but I went to go and do a walk through. Terrible experience. The entrance not only smelt like weed, but when I called the office I was told in a not so nice way that they had called me to reschedule since they didn’t have extra hands to leave the leasing office. I followed up with I never got a call, and if I did, why didn’t you leave a message? Not only that but they scheduled me and if I hadn’t called I would have been waiting but also not aware that I was scheduled already for a day/time that didn’t work.
