I was a tenant at one of JMZ’s managed properties (Z on Pardee) and had a distressing experience with their corporate responsiveness. For months, I dealt with a dangerous ceiling leak that posed a collapse risk. Despite multiple maintenance requests and direct emails to the manager, Samantha, the issue was ignored once the initial assessment was done. Communication completely stopped until I was forced to hire a lawyer to send a formal legal notice. Only then did JMZ act. It shouldn't take a legal threat to get basic habitability issues fixed. If you rent through them, be prepared for significant communication hurdles unless you have legal backing.

Working with AL to clarify and take care of apt. logistics has been easy-going. He was very helpful and will do what he can for tenants. He is reliable and addresses issues immediately. You're in good hands if you are working with AL at JMZ management.

We're new renters with JMZ and very impressed. With a lifetime of renting I've been with many companies with many experiences ranging all the way from nightmare to blissful, and JMZ is right up there at the top of the spectrum. All the staff have been prompt, polite and professional. The process and paperwork streamlined and near painless. Lawrence went above and beyond to ensure that as well. Rental shopping is usually about the least enjoyable experience, but he made it the opposite. He was very patient, polite and accommodating with my wife and in my opinion proved a prime example of good leadership / management.
