JK Homes Property Management

My experience with JK was completely shocking and absolutely unacceptable. It began when I applied for an apartment at the Blackstone which was under JK's management. I paid a $35 application fee, viewed the unit, and was told it would be ready in about 10 days after some minor finishing work. I liked the apartment and, based on that representation, paid the security deposit and first month’s rent. When I returned 10 days later to pick up the keys, I immediately realized they had given me keys to a different apartment. At first, I assumed it would be similar, but it was not. The unit was significantly smaller—roughly half the size of the apartment I had originally toured. There was no way I was willing to accept that substitution. We used JK homes for property management for 4 years and eventually listed our home for sale through them. The property management was phenomenal and when we listed our home for sale, we ended up selling for well over the asking price within a matter of a couple days. They took care of everything for us, which was great because we were out of state and unable to come back during the selling process. I can't recommend them enough. Definitely 5 stars!

Me and my boyfriend fell in love with one of their rental houses! So we applied and never heard anything from anyone. I have called several times and left voice mails as well as emails for the home! All we got was an email stating how they had a few applications to look at to give them up to 10 days and after 10 days still nothing! It’s been over a month since we applied and we are just kind of over it with them! I just didn’t want someone else to pay for the application like us and not even get anything!

Mr. and Mrs. Martin were a big help over the last 3-4 years with handling my rental property! Due to an occupation change, I now live 10 hours from the property. They were helpful, honest, and did what they said they would do. They helped with the rentals, a large renovation, and then the successful sale of the property. Each stage in this process was handled professionally and was communicated well. If you are looking for property management give them a call! Thank you for your help!

If you are looking for a property manager these people are NOT it. Poor communication, price gouging on projects and terrible in late rent collections. When you have to manage your management company, there is something wrong. James likes to talk about mutual respect. What he really means is that you better respect him and his decisions no matter what the cost is to you. I’m sure there will be some rude response to this true review as he verbally assaulted me to MY husband on a 3 way call with my deployed husband. Very unprofessional to say the least. I gave one star bc in the beginning this was like a new marriage in the honeymoon phase but we finally bit the bullet and filed the divorce papers. Oh, and THAT also cost a pretty penny to separate from them. Something has changed with this
