Windows painted closed. Doors wouldn't stay shut. The house wouldn't heat and cool evenly. Plumbing issues and a ceiling leak that they ignored us about for the three years we rented the house. They don't respond to maintenance requests. They're slumlords. AVOID.

Wow. Working with Jack and the other employees are really great. I met Jack many years ago when we were both younger man. He found the house I wanted. And it a great feeling to live in a place you love. 34 years later I still feel the same. Just a little older and wiser . It's time to move on to a new home it's great! If I could give them zero stars I certainly would! I Thank God we never have to do business with Horner & Newell again! Our rental at 6209 Woolridge Rd. in Moseley was horrible. Do not for one second think Horner & Newell is on your side as the tenant. Their loyalty lies with the landlord; you are just the catalyst to increasing their wealth. Being a family owned business you'd think they would care more about the energy they put into their business: they ignored maintenance requests, promised to have things fixed before we moved in only to never address them again, withheld part of our security deposit for a repair necessary due to lack of maintenance on the landlord's part. They certainly may seem trustworthy at first glance, but once you sign that lease you are truly on your own. Please

Went to view a property today. The appointment was at 12pm. Lisa didn’t show up until almost 12:30pm. Another couple was there to view the house as well, who drove all the way from North Carolina. I felt as I was invisible, while she gladly asked the other couple did they want to see the garage as he said how he would set the home up once moved in. The way she greeted me as opposed to the other couple I already knew it was a no go for me. I really feel like i was discriminated against because of my skin color. I asked how long does it get to approved and i was told “ if you have any judgments or evictions it’s an automatic denial”. That wasn’t even my question 😐
