Hillsborough Village Center

Great apartment layout and finishes! We almost never can hear our neighbors except for in the stairwell (garage apartments). Pool is great in the summer and the gym is clean. Only complaint would be the amount of dog feces when walking around, I wish this was picking up after your dog was enforced more!

Just a no, the only good thing about this place is the maintenance staff and leasing office staff. Not ideal for a family at all, apartments are small and made with cheap materials. Walls are very thin can hear everything and the noise from 206 is insane in the apartment buildings, can’t sleep at night. The heat and AC doesn’t work well, it’s weak in the winter and AC broke down 2 times in the middle of a heat wave.There is always someone smoking something outside the buildings or in between them at all times and near children! Mail situation is a disaster too, so messy can’t find a package for hours and some go missing. Parking is also bad, outdoor for apartments and some random people in there just lurking. The recent rate hike at the EV charging stations is beyond absurd — almost insulting, really. To raise the cost this drastically, while tenants are already paying an amenity fee, feels like nothing short of a money grab. It completely defeats the purpose of offering the stations as a “benefit” in the first place, and only reinforces the impression that all Larken seems to care about is squeezing out profit wherever possible — on top of raising rent every single year at an alarming rate. What makes this even more frustrating is that Larken had the audacity to claim in an email that these new rates are “competitive,” when that’s flat-out false — Tesla Superchargers are actually cheaper, and those are supposed to be more expensive because of the added convenience of supercharging.

I just moved in to Hillsborough Village Center. It is the most wonderful place, also a lot of thanks to Jasmine Robertson, and Jeffery Feinnman, helped us a lot with guiding us through applications process and lease signing and moving in. every single step of process were so smooth and wonderful. Very friendly and fast response, great staff. also HVC is such a wonderful location. close to all the shops and stores, so fabulous! I feel very happy and happier after moving into hvc

These apartments are pretty and look nice, but the management is awful. Online it says the leasing office person can give you information on why you were denied. She was not nice at all and she didn't tell me why. When I called the management for Larken, she was nice, but not helpful. A waste of my money to apply. Larken is not the greatest management for an apartment, what a shame.
